I feel this is appropriate, because many people dispose of them incorrectly. It was mentioned in the article, that these plastic bags are harmful for the environment. I agree with this, but my concern is for the oceans. When these bags are not disposed of correctly, they can end up in the ocean where many types of fish, mammals, shell fish, etc live. Fish and mammals can easily end up with a bag wrapped around them, which can kill them.
