It is important that we teach and educate students about being fair and honest when doing academic work. Explain them about the importance of academic integrity and the consequences of plagiarism. By copying they do not achieve anything.

Moreover, they should be aware that it is not negative that they use AI but that they should adapt it and be critical with what they read, AI can be a good tool to learn but they should know how to use it and the consequences of its negative use. To do so, we cam emphasise the value of originality and critical thinking and encourage students to develop their own ideas and perspectives rather than relying exclusively on external sources.

First, I will try to know better my students. I will motivate them to speak and share ideas in the classroom- Knowing their real abilities and intelligence will allow me to understand if they used AI. If AI were used -I will explore and try to understand how AI were used: for generating ideas? checking grammar? or for copy paste and plagiarism? I have switched from being extremely cautious with AI generated text for my students to making it mandatory. During many of my classes, I demonstrate how they can use AI for their own benefit. The main focus and benefit seems to lie in personalisation, convenience and feedback.

For example: instead of making them do exercises that I created, I help them create some great prompts to generate exercises that fit their needs and then as homework I require them to present a list of generated exercise and have them evaluate whether the exercises are a good fit for the content. "Forcing" them to generate quality content seems like a soliid plan to prepare them for evaluations specifically and the future in general.

I usually start and eTwinning project by teaching my students the basic rules related to copyright, netiquette, privacy, eTwinning code of conduct and so on. I try to let them understand their importance, but I know that they sometimes don't respect them, maybe for the lack of time or because they are too lazy to meet deadlines. In these cases the use of software to detect plagiarism is useful but I think that the role of the teachers is really important. I have a different approach from everyone who say that we need to limit the use of AI, since I think that the future of education will rely on AI.

Sometimes I give my students many problems and ask them to solve them by themselves as we learned in class then I ask them to generate many answers using AI (any chat bot available sometimes many of them) then we compare what we did to the answers we received using AI.

This will let the students see that the answer generated by AI isn't always the correct one or that it will differ from a chat bot to another depending on the data given. It will also show the students that they can use AI to help them when they face difficulties.
