I feel like people shouldn't lie because it could really hurt someone if they found the truth and knew you were lying, also it isn't good for you since you will remember lying and not the truth. Lies are dangerous too because it makes people not realize what actually happened. It may as well affect trusts with others if they knew.

People should have the ability to lie, as some lies are for the better. Some lies are painless, and might even help someone. Some lies may be dangerous, but other lies are for the better.

I feel like I would. At the point in the dystopian novel, when Gabriel is about to be Released, Jonas already feels love towards the Giver and Gabriel. I wouldn't want Gabriel to die, so, I would probably try and save him, even if it meant that it would cost my life.

In general, lying is not beneficial, because, in the future it'll most likely just set you up for confrontations, and you won't be able to keep the lie up, therefore losing trust from the person you lied to. Trust is important in any relationship, whether it be friendship or family. Trust is important, because you need to be able to feel safe with your friends and family.

What does the color red symbolize?

The color red can symbolize many things. It can symbolize love, anger, and danger.

Jonas expresses his feelings of not wanting to be a part of the community because in that, there is no joy because there is no color or feelings. He doesn't want to leave, but has to, because in the book, he explains that there is no life without feelings or color. If he leaves, the community can receive that.

I think the color red represents many different things(which depends on the situation), such as love, anger, warmth, etc. First, in the book, Fiona, Jonas' crush, had a red hair. Also, when Jonas received a memory of war, he was fearful when he saw the red blood all around.

Should we share emotions and dreams?

Personally I think it depends on the type of person. If you are a carefree, social person, and unafraid to share personal things, you should. But if you're a shy person who's afraid people will respond negatively, you shouldn't.
