The visitor experiences a walking tour through the preserved war rooms, the rooms themselves are behind glass panels for the visitor to see. The visitor walks from one end of the rooms to the other – it is all ordered and easy to follow.

The fact that you can walk down the narrow corridor, peering into the rooms as they were make this a more authentic experience. The visitor is also given an audio guide (available in a wide range of languages) which has recordings of what would have been said and which also provides information for what is being shown. The recordings also sometimes voice journal entries and other pieces of primary information in order to make this experience feel more real for the visitor.

Many of the objects shown are the same things that were there when the rooms were first used. Furthermore, things such as mannequins are used to help the visitor visualise what exactly people would have been doing in the rooms.
