Snorkelling equipment - this is meaningful to me as I feel most connected to the world around anytime I am swim or in nature and snorkelling combines the two together. Some of my favourite vacations have included snorkelling and I have loved to swim from a young age, and it eventually became my favourite sport!

This is a ring I purchased from a small jewellery maker in Milos, Greece. Each symbol has special meaning but the memories in this ring of my trip, which I did with my two best friends, both of whom are also in teachers college, are what really make it special to me. I very rarely take it off and I hope to have it forever.

I chose my phone because I can't think of any object that is particularly meaningful to me.
What is meaningful about my phone is that it has all my contacts, I can call or text anyone I know, whenever I want/need. It is especially meaningful because I live internationaly, accross time zones and borders.

My object is a gold necklace that was past down by my parents after I graduated from high school. The object is meaningful to me because it keeps me connected to my family at all times. For our religion it symbolizes success and accomplishment and is a family tradition.

This is a Sarubobo or "red monkey baby". It is the mascot of Hida Takayama, the place I lived while in Japan. It reminds me of my home there and of my iaido sensei who gave me my Sarubobo as a gift.

This is an elephant that my brother made for me with his 3D printer. I had asked him to show me how his printer works and he took the time to help me design and then print it. Fun little memory of us hanging out together since it rarely happens that we are together now!

My grandfather was one of my biggest supporters growing up. Unfortunately he passed away quite recently from Alzheimer's / Cancer. This is my favourite image of him after my last university basketball game so I had it framed. Alzheimer's is a nasty disease so it reminds me to cherish the moments I have with my parents & grandparents.

i chose to show my tiny shell because i took it home from a beach in northern Scotland called staffon bay. It was my final little trip on my exchange and I wanted something natural to remind me of my time there rather than a random gift shop object. 4 years later I still have it!

I brought a photo of my three pets that I received as a Christmas gift! It means a lot to me because I lost my golden on the left suddenly in 2016, so it's a nice memory to have every day. My family pets have meant so much to me with all the love and joy they give. :)

I've chosen a mini hockey stick to share, I got it on my family's trip to Saskatchewan when we moved there briefly, it reminded me of home and is important as my dad, sister, and I would have mini tournaments in the halls of our house.

This is a book that I bought for my boyfriend and I on our anniversary. It's a book with a bunch of unique dates and you don't know what the date is after you choose it. I love this book because we have so many fun memories associated with it and we always have so much fun with it. We're also long distance so these dates are extra special for me and something I can look back on. It'll take us a long time to get through all the dates but I like the idea that it's like a time capsule and we'll see how we change over the years.

The day before my daughter turned 1, my husband graduated from firefighter school. It was a long time coming and something that I was really proud of!
I bought this slightly cheesy but super cute onesie for my daughter to wear. It's the only piece of clothing that I've kept.

When I was younger I was gifted three cabbage patch dolls. I loved them because as an only child, I often played by myself. They made me feel like I wasn’t alone. They were all black dolls and at the time, I did not have many dolls that looked like me. I carried them everywhere. Literally everywhere. On the plane and even to church.

This melt bed creation is of Link from Zelda. It was from one of my favourite buddies at the extended day program I worked at. The friendship bracelet is from his sister. I gave her one and I kept one. We have remained friends throughout the years with the family and these 2 kiddos were one of the main reasons I want to be a teacher. They taught me so much.

During the summer I worked as a camp counsellor at a nature camp, and on the second day we were struck with a tragedy... the death of crow. It was a very emotional day at camp, but the kids made get well soon cards and we even threw a funeral in its honour. The crow became a big thing at camp, and was meaningful to all campers and counsellors. At the end of camp, my coworkers and I went and discovered the skull of our beloved friend, and it became so meaningful that a dead crow had to be included on our staff cake!
