         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Truman Doctrine signed a security act to help Greece and Turkey after armed minorities were pressured to take over Turkey, this helped not only Greece and Turkey but helped not to spread throughout the entire Middle East if Greece and Turkey had fallen. Truman's plan was economic goals and the United States would help Greece and Turkey by giving them financial and economic aid.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Marshall Plan led Truman to sign the Economic Recovery Act because they wanted to help Europe from a long-suffering, this was a huge breakdown for Europe during the war. For example, their machinery had fallen into disrepair, and they lost absorption through nationalization and simple destruction. Towns and cities were not producing adequate goods to exchange with food-producing farmers.</p>]]></description>

         <title>1961- The building of the Berlin Wall </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Berlin Wall was built to keep their population from escaping, the Soviets controlled East Berlin citizens and West Berlin citizens. If they were to leave or escape they would be considered dissenters, or be killed. Many of the East German citizens have said that behind the wall they developed claustrophobia and were plagued by shortages, it was hard to purchase any goods, also many people struggled to cope with the impact of the division in Germany.</p>]]></description>

It established a border between North Korea and South Korea, this demilitarized zone forbids military forces within the area. President Truman decided that he wanted to help South Korea, and said that the soviet union had a doing in the invasion and refused to allow communism to spread. Truman asked the United Nations for help on the Korean peninsula, so Truman could help restore peace and the UN sent their troops so they were able to restore the peace for Korea.</p>]]></description>
