Dear Mao Laoshi and all classmates,

My name is Carrie-Uyen Le. I live in San Jose with my family and work in a biopharmaceutical company in Redwood City. I also have two dogs. I like travelling and learning new languages. Chinese is my favorite language. I know it is one of the most difficult languages to learn, especially writing, but I'd like to challenge myself. Chinese calligraphy writing really fascinates me.
My short-term goal is to be able to speak Mandarin good enough to order food, asking for directions and having daily conversations when I travel to Taiwan or China in the near future. My long-term goal is that I would be able to have business discussions in Mandarin with Mandarin-speaking business people.
