My name is Ms. Makris and I am so excited to be your teacher this year! I am looking forward to creating a fun and positive learning environment where everyone feels safe and comfortable to be themselves. 
I have always lived in London, Ontario but I love to travel to new places and meet new people. I am always learning new things everyday just as I hope each one of you will too! I went to school at Western University where I obtained my undergraduate degree in Biology and Medical Sciences. I am very passionate about Science and Biology, as those are what I studied in school. I thrive to make my lessons interactive and engaging for all my students while acknowledging individuality in the classroom.
I enjoy working with students and helping them learn. My goal is inspire my students and make a difference in each of your lives.  I am very empathetic and kind-hearted as I always look to put the needs of my students first. I believe in equity and providing each and every student with sufficient and effective guidance when striving for success.

 1. They will receive a warning
 2. If the student continues not to cooperate, they will be given a chance to change their behaviour
 3. If behaviour doesn't change, they will be sent to the office to speak to the principal
-  If you are not able to collect yourself in the classroom, you can ask to step out into the hallway or take a walk to visit guidance.
-  Bullies are not permitted or welcomed in the classroom.
-  The classroom is a positive, safe, uplifting learning environment where negativity is not accepted.  
- Cellphones are a distraction to your learning and to those around you. Cellphones are allowed in the classroom but only when it is necessary or if the teacher allows it. Please refrain from distraction or disruption to the rest of the class by keeping your phones in your backpacks. 
-  Be respectful and use appropriate language in the classroom.
