I do use Canvas as a daily tool for my agenda. This has proven to be a great way for students to access a copy of a lost worksheet, re-watch a video from class or make-up work when absent. Mobile device: I have used to take pictures for note taking purposes when we have run out of time in the classroom, but they need the notes completed to be successful on their homework or the next task. My goals for this year are to continue to use SchoolNet as an assessment source in which I can gather data and study my students' trends. Unfortunately, having work on paper has proven more successful in math in that it forces students to be on task versus being on a separate activity on-line and gives them a place to record their work for thee problems that they are completing. I love the idea of a paperless classroom however, it would be much easier if there were one central location for students to login and have access to all the different apps used in the classroom. It would prevent login issues when students cannot remember passwords or where to access the information needed. In addition, there needs to be a way to monitor student devices when in the classroom to ensure that they are on task. One person simply cannot see every screen even when walking around monitoring the classroom.

I use the internet and computers more and more. I use canvas a lot. One issue I run into is that I have to circle the room like a shark constantly to make sure they are on task.
It would be very helpful if we had a program that allowed use to see what sites the students computer has pulled up.
In my opinion thiswould be a valuable tool to increase the effectiveness of using technology.

Although this limited my input on their work, I was able to assist students, especially my 1 ELL student, with additional resources. The resources provided this school year by our technology department have been invaluable and I look forward to being able to utilize even more of them next school year.
