Making a big influence to American and especially the Black Community he would grow up through all his childhood troubles to become a well respected man and be known throughout history. As a child he would grow up in a unstable household receiving threats from White Supremacists because of his father being a black minister. Later in his life his father would be murdered and his mother hospitalized leading to him moving into a foster home. Growing up he lived a very confused and unstable childhood. Later in his mid age to an adult he would later come back to Boston with his friend. They would get arrested on account of burglary and spend 10 years in prison. Reginald was a part of the religious organization the Nation of Islam (NOI). So intrigued to the NOI he was interested in leader Elijah Muhammad. With this he would put a lot of focus on the NOI and how Elijah supported the idea on the civil right and the Black Muslims. Three gunmen rushed Malcolm onstage. They shot him 15 times at close range. The 39-year-old was pronounced dead on arrival at New York’s Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Hundreds of people would attend his funeral and would draw the attention of Martin Luther King. The three men were all captured and verified as men part of the NOI.
