Question 1

Image A: "to where my gullet gapes", from the actual version

Image B: "to my gullet", from the adapted version

Question 2

A gullet is the tube leading from the mouth to the stomach. Image B shows a close-up of a man's throat and a tube-like structure. Therefore, I believe image B was produced using "to my gullet."

In contrast, Image A shows a girl looking out of a tunnel, which is the gullet. Here, the gullet is wide open, which is in line with the word "gape." The girl herself is also "gaping," as she is gazing in amazement at what is outside. Therefore, I believe image A was produced using "to where my gullet gapes."
