The students could have used a paper/pencil number line, however the use of the number line app allowed them to use technology and be engaged in sharing out student responses. The following day I had students do a SeeSaw creating their own subtraction story problem and voice record caption it. Students were sharing out their photos and recordings. Other students were using their friends' posts to fill in an organizer and building on what their friends said. To extend, I would have students comment on their friends' posts as to why they agree with their post or any questions they may have.
