         <title>Goal #2 Targets </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>2.1&nbsp; </strong>This part of the goal talked about ensuring access by all areas of the population especially the vulnerable to sufficient food year round&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><strong>2.2 </strong>This talked about ending all forms of malnutrition focusing on the growth of children and infants. Pertaining to stopping stunting and have pregnant/ lactating mothers ensured with all the nutritional needs they might encounter&nbsp;</div><div><br><strong>2.3 </strong>This part focused on doubling the agriculture productivity and increasing the income of the smaller companies like those run by women, family owned, or indigenous farmers. The main point being equal access to land, production needs and opportunities for employment. &nbsp;<br><br></div><div><strong>2.4 </strong>This part of the targets talked about ensuring safe and quality production for not only the food but the safety of the planet. Ending with improved quality of the environment and food.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><strong>2.5 </strong>This hit on the topic of diverse plants, food and agriculture. This would be achieved through seed banks not only regionally but internationally. This would help spread the benefits of these different resources from other areas.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><strong>2.A </strong>This target was to increase the investment in this funding of this goal through increased services, technology, and international cooperation to enhance agricultural development/ production capacity. &nbsp;<br><br></div><div><strong>2.B </strong>This is one of the most important points of the targets based on the international aspect. The need for correction and prevention of added restriction on the export of the agriculture&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><strong>2.C </strong>Lastly this target focuses on the need for proper markets that are properly managed. This allows for a wide range of access times to these products and information but ensuring that these accessibilities are not taken advantage of. &nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>SDG Goals and Importance </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-The SGD goals are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and improve the lives and prospects of everyone in all areas.&nbsp;<br>-The 17 goals were adopted by all UN Members States in 2015<br>-These goals were made into a 15 year plan to be achieved in 2030<br>-This is important because these goals lay a foundation for fixing the root causes of poverty and hitting the main points to help fix this worldwide need for universal global health for all that is equal and sustainable. These goals are focused on the main factors and needs for this equal health for all and a time frame of 2030 that they hope to be accomplished by. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Current estimates show that <a href="http://www.fao.org/publications/sofi/2020/en/"><mark>nearly 690 million people are hungry, or 8.9 percent of the world population</mark></a><mark> </mark>– up by 10 million people in one year and by nearly 60 million in five years.<br>-<a href="https://www.wfp.org/publications/2020-global-report-food-crises"><mark>135 million suffer from acute hunger</mark></a><mark> </mark>largely due to man-made conflicts, climate change and economic downturns. <br>-a profound change of the global food and agriculture system is needed if we are to nourish the more than 690 million people who are hungry today – and the <a href="https://www.un.org/development/desa/en/news/population/world-population-prospects-2019.html">additional 2 billion people</a> the world will have by 2050. <br>-<mark>Increasing agricultural productivity and sustainable food production are crucial to help alleviate the perils of hunger.<br></mark>-In 2019, close to 750 million – or <a href="http://www.fao.org/3/ca9692en/online/ca9692en.html#chapter-1_1">nearly one in ten people in the world</a> – were exposed to severe levels of food insecurity.<br>-<a href="https://unstats.un.org/sdgs/report/2020/goal-02/"><mark>144 million children</mark></a><mark> </mark>under age 5 were affected by stunting in 2019, with three quarters living in Southern Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.<br>-In 2019, <a href="https://unstats.un.org/sdgs/report/2020/goal-02/">6.9 per cent</a> (or <mark>47 million) children </mark>under 5 were affected by wasting, or acute undernutrition, a condition caused by limited nutrient intake and infection.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Role of the Nurse </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-It is important for the nurse to realize that we must have knowledge on the environmental health issues that impact food and agriculture. <br>-We need to use our skills to advocate, empower and coach this knowledge to promote this access and well being for everyone. <br>-We can help by making connections between the food supplies and health outcomes. <br>-Partnering and advocating for the importance of all the international resources we can invest into to help this goal of zero hunger by 2030. <br>-We are called to help prevent malnutrition, ensure this equality of food supply, preserve global food supply and to empower each other to stick up to the responsibility we have to preserve this goal and make a change. <br>-<mark>Overall we must be able to identify food insecurity, partner with organizations that look to mitigate hunger, promote gender equality in food production and agriculture through social justice initiative and educate themselves about integrity of the food supply</mark></div>]]></description>
