In this reading, we learn about disability discrimination and how not all laws protect those with disabilities, which was quiet upsetting to read. Learning that Ableism exist is our society. These stereotypes need to be broken and more people need to be educated on the fundamentals of persons with disabilities. We need to be advocates and educators, not just sit on the side lines. Being by their side and educating the public, we can broaden minds and decrease the stereotypes and ignorance that exist in our society.

This article allows us into the world of those with disabilities. This show is one of 5 shows that "get disability right" How individuals with disabilities are casted into roles, who are able bodied, those who suffer from chronic illness and mental health. These topics are not shunned but are spoken to the world through these shows. To open the eyes of the ignorant and educated on this topic. 
It is a nice to know that more relatable shows such as this one are now being more accepted.

Watching the trailer really made me happy to see that yes, those who have physical disabilities, can carry on normal lives as depicted in this show. Here we see a man with Parkinson's who against all odds maintains a sense of normalcy for himself. Seeing a news anchorman with Parkinson's who can do his job. Michael makes a comment which resonated with me, he says, I feel like it's "dead or indictment". It is nice to see more relatable shows that are accepted in the mainstream of tv land.

Six couples compete to enter the Wheelchair Dance Sport European Championships. 
Here we see Diana in her wheelchair Ballroom dancing. I could not take my eyes off the screen and was smiling the entire time. It was so beautiful to see, Diana is simply beautiful and to see how happy she is and loves dancing. This wipes away for me the stereotypes that those with disabilities cannot do. There is nothing that cannot do, and give it their own unique spin on it and make it their own.  
Diana shows us that she owed the stage, that she owned her amazing talent and ability to dance. This tells the world that anything is possible, disability or not.

In this article we learn about opportunities for individuals with disabilities. This takes place in St. John (N.L.) 
Those who have disabilities want permanent employment and want to have this opportunities just like anyone else. They want to feel productive and want to share their many abilities with their employer. This would also help the local economy, as individuals with disabilities would have (more) money to spend which would enhance the economy. They would be apart of the working force in a way where they would have something steady, long term and permanent, instead of something that was just temporary.

In this movie Speechless we get to meet a boy who is in a wheelchair and has limited access to his school except for a "garbage ramp" which he uses to enter and exit the school. He lets everyone know that other then his disability which makes him unique, that he is no different from anyone else. He creates a sense of normalcy for himself. This movie allows us to see through his lens, the way he views the world around him.
