I teach computer studies in a secondary school, and my students are between 11 and 18 years old. By including this topic in my lesson plans, I have an intention to greatly extend pupils' aawareness of the matter of media literacy. I am going to use 1/3 of each lesson for presenting the aforementioned topic to my students and doing different kinds of activities with them. This would be extremely useful for teenagers, as they often do not stick to the appropriate rules.

 Media literacy is allowing students to understand and analyze messages and media content they meet in everyday life  better and also acquire the skills they need to perform their role as a citizens fully. It contributes to safeguarding the pluralism and independence of the media.
