I am currently reading "A Little Life" by Hanya Yanagihara, the book is about a cast of characters but one, Jude, would have a very strong opinion about the LoF. Jude was horribly abused as a young man and now cuts himself in order to deal the the trauma of his childhood. He would likely think the boys were tragic, not understanding what they were doing to one another and themselves.
