Sengoku period starts in Japan. it start in 1467 and end in 1615. In the Sengoku period the Japanese isles were split between a number of rival faction. In the Sengoku period there is a lot of fights. Japan's Three Great Surprises is like the most biggest fight or war in the Sengoku period and the name of the fights are Battle of Kawagoe Castle, Battle of Itsukushima, Battle of Okehazama, and Battle of Sekigahara.

Honnouji no hen was an assassination of the Japanese Daimyo, "Oda Nobunaga"- He was the leading person of the Sengoku period and regarded as the "under Unifier" of the Sengoku period. He was one of the three-person of the Japanese's most important people in history Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu. He was killed because the other Samurai Clan had been weakened because of how Oda Nobunaga was powerful and killed other Samurai Clan which made them mad. He was assassinated but Akechi Mitsuhide was against each other for a long history because of their family and governmental reasons. While Oda Nobunaga was taking a rest in the Honnouji the other Samurai clan and Akechi Mitsuhide Clan sneaked up on the family of Oda Nobunaga and himself and killed him. Akechi Mitsuhide killed himself because of the antipathy he would get by killing Oda Nobunaga.

The Sekihagara fight was a fight that was very important in Japanese history because the winner of the fight got to rule Japan as a leader. This fight was fought against the Eastern Army and the Western Army. It was not 2 clans of Samurai it was fought by many clans as one team from the eastern and western. The eastern Clans were fought by 19 groups of clans as one. The Western Clans were fought by 28 clans. The fight was about the death of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Tokugawa Ieyasu, who has gained power and aims to take over the government, and Mitsunari Ishida, who tries to stop him, are the content of the fight. Eventually, the winner of the fight was The Eastern Clan which was the Tokugawa Ieyasu. The reason why the Western Clan lost the fight was because of the betrayal from his Clan which led to less military strength.

Tokugawa Ieyasu was a smart person and he sent more than 150 paper letters to the Western Clan that if they helped for the fight he would give them some land that he had. So the Western clan has lost.

In the Kawagoe, Saitama there is a biggest fight or war in the Sengoku period. it happened in 1545, Oct, 31 in the night there was a fight between the castle. Uesugi Norimasa, Uesugi Asadayo, and Ashikaga Haruji with Hojo Ujiyasu's army are participate the fight between the castle. In this fight Hojo army's won the fight. It happened this fight because it is for the castle and conquest for the castle of Uesugi's castle and Domination.

The war of the name called Battle of Itsukushima. It happened in Oct, 16, 1555. It was about the rebellion of Yoshitaka Ouchi. In the fight there was Mouri Motome, and Harutaka Sue. Harutaka Sue killed about 20000 people of army's and Mouri Motome killed about 4000 people of army's, but there is huge disparity in strength between Harutaka Sue of number of kills and Mouri Motome of number of kills, but in this fight the Mouri Motome won. Mouri Motome has the clever tactics to win this fight. That's why it is very famous story of this Sengoku period.

The Battle of Okehazama was in May to June, 1560. There was the name called Nobunaga Oda and Yoshimoto Imagawa and other army's of them. The purpose of this battle was like Yoshimoto went to Kyoto and attacked Owari. Oda was not famous that time, but he won this battle of Okehazama and he got famous. Oda were have only 4000 of army's, but Yoshimoto were have 25000 of army's. they fought in the 2 places and name are Okehazama Kosenba Park, Midori-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture and Legendary site of Okehazama ancient battlefield, Toyoake City, Aichi Prefecture. It is very famous place at Aichi.

The battle of Nagashino begin in June 29, 1575. In the battle of Nagashino there were battle between Katsuyori Takeda and the Ieyasu Tokugawa and Nobunaga Oda and also Katsuyori has 15000 of army's and Ieyasu Tokugawa and Nobunaga Oda has 38000 of army's. In this battle Katsuyori Takeda won this battle because the disagreement between Nobunaga Oda and the Shogun was the catalyst and like they didn't communicate that much, but Ieyasu Tokugawa and Nobunaga Oda was friendship, but they lost to Katsuyori Takeda.

Most of the people lived in a building called"城(shiro)". It can be called as castle in English. These castle were only used for Samurai and Shogun and governmental people. The highest room in the castle was the top part and it was only used for Shogun which is the leader of the Samurai clan. In these modern days there are only few castle that are left over. In osaka there is a castle called Osaka Castle but this was burned down once by Tokugawa Ieyasu the most strongest Shogun in Japanese history. It was rebuilt by the similar model as different Castle around Japan.
