I look forward to using Google classroom this year. I hope to enhance my classroom by being able to use small group rotations where I can work with students in a smaller setting and differentiate to student needs. Also, students seem very attracted to using technology in order to turn in assignments. I hope to have my ELL's collaborate together and build community with each other as they learn language. I think Google Classroom could be instrumental in creating a sense of community that helps lower apprehension to taking risks and learning.

My students actually wrote vignettes last year in Spanish class as their major end of the year project. They read the story La Casa en Mango Street too. The challenge I am having with Google classroom is how to grade automatically using the system. I have used it in every other way but I hear this is supposed to be a function. However, I have not been able to use it. Google Classroom gives you immediate access to your students even when they are not in the classroom. When my students were working on their project they were able to post questions and discuss issues with their classmates to resolve those problems using the

I already record lessons and put them on YouTube for my kids but being able to assign that as "homework" and having the kids come in and rotate through practice, refinement and enrichment stations based on their strengths is really appealing to me. I think I could do a lot of this in Classroom by assigning the lesson and a quiz via Forms to assess what they learned. Based on that assessment, I could group them into stations and work with the kids who need me most on what they need the most help with. I can also see what they're missing for the refinement station.

As of now, I plan to use Google Classroom to attach homework that way students and parents know where to find it if the original is misplaced. I also plan to use it for announcements such as upcoming school events and test dates. While exploring the different platforms I realized I can definitely utilize station rotation. My students already go to station including computers to play games to enhance their math skills in a fun way, but now I can possibly add a second computer station, or switch between the two, with Google Classroom for quick assessments and assignments. The platforms give you various ways to implenment learning.

I think many of our children would be very successful in this type of model.
As for my own classroom, I already started using the station type model in my classroom when I got the new computers last year. It really helped the flex rotations when there were enough computers so that it could work smoothly.
I also love that this can be so collaborative when it comes to teachers. Posting homework as a group would be great because kids can "see" other teachers present the lessons as well and pick up different things from different teachers. We can also use each others videos and not have to keep redoing the same lessons. I think a lot of time can be saved over time.

I thought it was difficult because we didn't have enough computers for all of our students to access easily. This year we have a different set up, with more computers per class. I really look forward to using technology as a regular rotation.
I was very impressed with some of the schools that I saw on the videos. I love that when learning is more individualized, the students take more ownership in their work.
