         <description><![CDATA[<div>Claims like ‘Women speak 13 000 words a day more than men’ appear in the media and most would accept this as common knowledge.<br><br></div><div>How do women mange to fit in all this extra nattering every day? Surely all those surplus word can’t be that important when men can manage to get their point across with such efficiency in their word choices.<br><br></div><div>Gents before you get too comfortable with your silent head nodding in agreement of this ‘Fact’, there isn’t any reputable evidence to back it up. On average women and men will speak about the same amount of words in a day.<br><br></div><div>This example of a commonly held belief is probably based largely on sexist stereotype.<br><br></div><div>So please don’t assume that I’ll say too much simply because I’m a woman, and I’ll extend the same courtesy to you by not assuming that just because you’re a man you can change a tyre.</div>]]></description>
