Afghanistan is a LLDC. Because of its location Afghanistan always was a land that suffered from invasions. This also is the reason for the conflicts which are lasting for more then 40 years. There is a major terrorist group, the Taliban which resist against the government. there are armed conflicts in the country all the time and many people are dying because of this which can be seen at the high mortality rate. The country is not save and therefore a strong economy cant develop and institutions like schools are always at risk of being destroyed as a result of conflicts.

Society in Afghanistan is experiencing a lot of pressure due to Covid 19. People are loosing their jobs on top of the already critical situation the country. More and more people no longer have access to enough food because they are dropping below poverty line. A big problem of the pandemic is the school. Especially girls are suffering from closed schools and less classes. Students also suffer from the reduced social contacts in their major phase of social character development. School is a save place for most of the children in Afghanistan and one of the few that exist for most of the young population. Also future perspectives of many children are being destroyed because of the lack of education. Also domestic violence has drastically increased since the start of the pandemic.
There is also another major problem in the society. 8% of the population believe that believing in good makes you save from the virus. Another 25% have heard from the corona virus but are misinformed about it. They believe its made in foreign countries laboratories.
also the psychological status of many people is getting worse because of all the stress they experience in daily life. There is a clear need for psychological support in Afghanistan

The economy of Afghanistan is heavily impacted by Covid 19. The UNPD says that the economic development of was set back by several years due the the corona virus. Not only is there less economic activity within the country itself but also less trade with trade partners like India and China because they themselves are also struggling because of Covid 19. The pandemic has exposed major flaws in the economic structure.

Peace in Afghanistan is very unstable if it even exists. Therefore peace-talks and general political communication and activities are very import to have at least a certain degree of stability within the country. Due to the corona virus many of these peace-talks had to be cancelled or delayed. in addition the already low trust in the government is further reduced because the people are not understanding or recognizing what the government is doing and how its justified.

Afghanistan is suffering badly from Covid 19. Due to the already unstable situation in the country the people are pushed to their limits by this crisis. Economic development is set back, education of children gets worse which has a long-term effect on the economy and most importantly all the countries that supported Afghanistan's development over the last few years are also suffering from Covid 19 and therefore have to stop or reduce their support. If nobody is supporting Afghanistan within and after the pandemic the countries development could be stopped for ever. therefore its very import to aid this country in fighting Covid 19.
