Change the WHM pathway On this day, I talked to the program director of the social science department about changing the pathway to the Business Communication Skill. I didn't prepare for the vocabulary. I described my problem and the reason as clearly as possible so that the director can solved it quickly. I will prepare some useful words in the next time before I want to deal with some problems.

Our teacher specified us into 5 group and each group got a question. I was worked with three native speakers. We have discussed the solution steps of the question using the method we had learn and found the right answer. Then, one boy in our team and I presented the solution of the question for the classmates. I use the language I had practiced (I tried to discuss the homework questions with my roommate using English) and tried to speak logically、clearly and accurately especially the numbers. The boy worked with me said my presentation is really well and my friend told me she found that I try to avoid some problem I used to do when I speak English before. I was so happy about it and I will practice me speaking skill insistently.

Now my induction can use as before. I think I need to know more professional word so that I can communicate with people in professional place.

I went to the selfridges on Saturday and I am so amazed that there were so much people in the shopping center. I have never seen such a scene. My friends and family members asked me to help them by some goods. I asked the shop assistants lots of time in order to find the items. Communicating with the shop assistants are very different from our usual discussions and chatting. I need to make them understand me quickly and accurately as there are too much people waiting helps. My aunt gave me a difficult assignment. I need to by some nourishments for her. I studied some nouns such as lecithin and vagi-guard. To be honest, it is so tired to walk and go shopping a day. The weather on that day was not good and rained on both Birmingham and London. In such a circumstance, we decided to find a Chinese restaurant that can cook Spicy Baked Fish that can make us warm. However at the time we were really near the restaurant, the google map had something wrong so that we could not search the current address. I tried to call the restaurant to ask the way we need to go, but the waiter who answer me was a native speaker. It was the first time I phoned with a native speaker. I felt so nervous during that period and I repeated some sentences again to make sure I heard right. I think I need to make opportunities to call with native speakers in the future. In the morning, my friend and I went to the Chinese supermarket and Sainsbury to purchase the food and drink of the evening party. When we came back to the accommodation, a sister in the reception said happy Chinese New Year for us and felt curiously about our party at night. She told us before half of a month she had decorated the accommodation with Chinese elements but she don't know the meaning of them. I had tried to explain the meaning of the spring festival scrolls hold on some doors, some hanging decorations which look like a fish and why we should sleep after 12pm. I found that it was so hard to explain a country's culture to another country's people using another language. Some of the words in Chinese cannot find a corresponding meaning in English. As the first tutor meeting in this term, James asked some questions about the feeling of the last term. He was care of my study. He said the common problem represent with international student is they cannot understand the lecture knowledge so that they feel so nervous. I told him I can understand the knowledge of the lecture but I still had some problem when I did the class test. As we exchanged more information, he told me that I need to pay more attention on the text book our teachers recommend. He said the knowledge teachers present in the lecture is the most important things, but there are some precondition, source and deduction are showing in the text book. He persuaded me go in to our library more frequently. I think he was right and I will accept his advice and change myself. During the one hour, I just felt that I used my own language with a friend. He encouraged me to express my idea.
