At the beginning of the coaching programme, I was still developing my confidence and clarity as coach. I had a strong passion for volleyball and a desire to support my players, but I was still learning how to structure sessions, manage different skill levels and communicate effectively on and off the court. I often relied on instinct and personal playing experience rather than clear coaching strategies I knew I wanted to grow-not just in technical knowledge, but also in my ability to lead, plan and postively impact my team :)

REALISM in training situations rather than prioritising perfect repetitions outside of game-like scenarios
There is nothing wrong with being an expressive and empathetic coach
Being okay with letting players struggle and figure it out on their own/with their team.

Enrinment was always important to me, moreso from physical safeties, but mental safeties have become increasingly important. Team culture has been brought closer to the process, and connection to individual teamm members inclusion and how this translates to decision making

Next year i'd like to focus on growing both my confidence and capability as a coach. I want to continue building strong connections with my players but also challenge myself to step up in areas like game strategy, feedback, delivery and managing different player personalities and skill levels.
