Most cities already have recycling programs where waste is put into different bins, but they could always be better. Having more donation center for clothing, lights, and appliances you don’t plan to use anymore, would reduce the waste going into landfills. If these two things were more normalized, fossil fuel usage would go way down.

(next 10-15 years) Using more public transport and continuing to innovate the electric car/making it more widely used

Public transport would allow for less petroleum products (such as gasolina) to be used. Public transport would limit the amount of cars on the road therefore the amount of fuels being released. You could also always carpool, bike, or walk. If none of those can be done, investing in an electric car is always an option.

If we were to start using more renewable energy sources, we would no longer need to use fossil fuel power plants. Also, if more started to shut down the resources would no longer be in use which would be better for the environment and people would start to be forced to use more renewable energy sources.
