    6. Patrons- Rich supporters/sponsors of Renaissance artists financially 

    7. Humanism- Renaissance intellectual movement in which thinkers studied classical texts and focused on human potential and achievements.

    8. Petrarch- Early and influential humanist also known as the father of the Renaissance. He wrote sonnets (14 line poems) and wrote letters in both Classical Latin and Italian.

    9. Perspective - A technique that makes the appearance of three dimensions on a flat surface.

    10. Leonardo da Vinci - Artist that painted the Mona Lisa, the Last Supper, and sketched flying machines and undersea boats. He opened corpses to study human anatomy.
