Single-use plastics are very used in many countries around the world. Indeed, there is a biggest discussion about the environmental effects that these plastics have. This essay will discuss the negative effects of using plastic bags and why is urgent to ban them.

We find plastic bags in every supermarket, store, in our home. For us is normal to use that type of bags for convenience and comfort. However, single-use plastic bags are one of the main causes of pollution. As these plastic bags cannot be reused, they go straight to the trash. This situation implies a knock-on effect: pollution in oceans, death of animals, pollution in the land and emissions of large amounts of greenhouse gases.

Nowadays we have other alternatives better than plastic, for example, compostable bags or reusable cloth bags. We already known that plastic is a threat for our environment, and we have been creating awareness of that but still, we need to take stronger measures. This year, Colombia adopts a policy that banned single-use plastics, with that measure the country has helped to protect the biodiversity, the oceans, and the land. By the other hand, some people said that plastic bags should not be banned because there are cheaper and comfortable but considering the threat that these bags represents and that we have other alternatives it is selfish be against the prohibition of plastic bags.

In conclusion, plastic bags cause very negative effects for the oceans, the land, and the animals. It is necessary to ban these and use other options.

Due to ecological causes, governments around the globe are discussing about public policies that may influence the number of plastic bags that people and industries are throwing to the oceans and on land causing pollution on them. This text will show why we must prohibit the use of plastic bags so as to help our environment.

Let us talk about the industries usage of plastic bags by providing some points. The utilization of these type of product in the production process may be reduced through the automatization, adopting better company policies, and setting a curb of waste. This ought to come form the general management to work out.

Another point of view is related with people consumption patterns. This is the hardest part of the process because if we reduce the demand of plastic bags, industries must shorten its productions. Policies have to be in hand with strong educational campaigns to promote the reduction of single-use plastics, raise awareness and think about the far-reaching consequences.

In the other hand we see people saying that this movement it is not a big deal. Our planet is fine, and news and scientist are overreacting to this matter. Eventually a side effect can happen if we do not be aware of the impact of our actions. So, it is better to be open to the facts shown by the experts and do not wait until there is no point of return.

Despite all the alerts, people still think is not a big deal. So, by reducing the demand, therefore the production, and generating alternative ways to the use plastic bags may help the rubbish in the oceans and on land. About people who do not believe this is a problem, the respectful sources of information can guide them to adopt a better position and stop the knock-on effect that is rolling out in this moment.

In our time, our society had developed different products to help the daily life of the people. Parallel to that enormous advance we have a serious problem with the actual situation in our planet, specifically talking about climate change and pollution. One of the most controversial products are the plastic bags, this product had and have an enormous impact, beneficial impact, on our society, but lately plastic bags have caused some very big problems. In this text it will be discussed the effect of plastic bags in the environment, adjusting the aim of this text in the pollution that they cause, defending the idea of making the ban of this product a law.

One of the main points defending the prohibition of plastic bags, are the consequences of the plastic bag pollution. Plastic bags are a threat to wildlife, specially in the ocean, centenars of individuals of different species die if not for eating the plastic waste, because of the chemicals that they produce once the plastic bag is in the sea, so its very problematic. Imagine for example a group of fish of an endangered species, it will be very problematic if these group encounter some of this waste.

Another argue to defend the ban of the plastic bags are us. The plastic bags as we see it, brakes in many small pieces because of the contact with the water, and it gets in the water, being undetectable or unavoidable to fish and other species. Continuing the idea if some human or being want to eat some animal that comes from the sea, let me tell you that that fish contains microplastic and you will share the same destiny as him (polluted by microplastic, that if the reader don’t know is very toxic).

I understand that some people defend the use of plastic because of the daily use and profit we take out of his use, but this argument is problematic, because it is putting the heath of millions of people in danger, to be more comfortable.

To finish, the use of plastic bags should be banned because of the impact that have on the species of for example the sea, and in result, the problematic impact that it has on us, regarding the benefits that we could have of the use of plastic bags.

By now the humanity have found one of the biggest problems of pollution that are affecting the environment every day. The use of plastic bags and other products made of plastic are destroying and contaminating our oceans and our land. This easy will discuss why the plastic bags must be banned to preserve the environment.

First, we must know that our planet is 90% water, water we could find in oceans, rivers and lakes, this water is essential for human survival. The water over the earth have been contaminated for many years, plastic bags is the main reason why the water is so polluted, people could find all kind of plastic bags all over the ocean, bags that most of them are just for a single use. I totally agree with many countries that have prohibited the use of plastic bags for a numerous daily activities, adopting this kind of policy has allowed to put a curb on how much single-use plastics is wasted every single day into the main resource of the planet.

Another threat that brings the single-use plastic is the different animal species endangered all over the earth. Every day it could be seen on the news how is found a whale or a seal with some plastic bags as a necklace, and is not because they like it, is a real danger that could end with its life.

We could find people saying that the prohibition of the single-use plastic will not make big changes, because there are other and bigger problematic products. Nevertheless, I maintain my point of view that is totally necessary to adopt not just one but many other policies to prohibit all the use of plastic.

As a conclusion, is extremely urgent to stop the pollution of all kinds, mainly the use and waste of plastic bags. Those products are killing the life in earth, we must preserve the main resource we have, the water.

Plastic production revolutionized all industrial sectors but today it has become an environmental problem that affects the sustainability of the planet. It is a functional, cheap and widespread material, but also polluting if it is not properly treated and recycled. Plastic bags, for example, take decades to disappear from the environment.

The excessive use of plastic bags has serious consequences for the environment since in many countries these are main source of rubbish causing pollution ins oceans an on land; therefore, they should be banned.

The use of plastic bags should be prohibited in places where there are no effective garbage collection systems. For example, in the department of La Guajira, most of its territory does not have this system, so people throw garbage anywhere, polluting the landscape, destroying the ecosystem, and endangering the animal species that live in the area.

Likewise, plastic bags take time to biodegrade. According to research conducted by experts, it takes 55 years for a bag to degrade. During this period, a plastic bag thrown into the sea can entangle a fish or make it swallow it. More and more species are ingesting plastic. Sea turtles, for example, feed on jellyfish, which they mistake for plastic bags and end up eating. Whales, fish and birds also mistake plastics for food, which causes them to die. Even plankton have been found to be ingesting microplastics.

To conclude, banning plastic bags can contribute to the reduction of our carbon footprint and reduce pollution which would lead to the conservation of life. Furthermore, it can improve the quality of the food we eat since, as has been shown, numerous studies have found plastic in fish found in markets.

Currently, plastic bags are a source of rubbish in all the world. Therefore, I consider that is necessary created a prohibition to use this kind of material, because in the medium term can be causing damage that can not be repaired in our environment. Additionally, we can change the dependence on petroleum derivates and little by little move us to a new green technology.

One reason for I agree with the prohibition to use this material is that plastic bags are not biodegradable. It spends a lot of time to finish the life cycle, and while this is happening continues to accumulate as rubbish that is not useful. This problem is a harmful to the environment because invades different habitats as for example the marine that it is more difficult to clean or the forests that the animal confuse the plastic bags with food.

If we make a ban, we can raise awareness the people. In the other countries these police have worked extraordinarily well, because in the supermarket adopt the ban and is very expensive buy a plastic bag or they are no offered this product in stores. These actions provoked that people use reusable bags with material more durable. Besides, the prohibition has a positive knock on effect.

On the other hand, the people feel it is pointless. The reason is that reusable bags material is a petroleum derivatives with more durability but is the same problem in the medium term.

In conclusion, plastic bags should be banned for not to damage the environment and to be aware that we need to change materials.

In many countries, plastic bags are the main source of rubbish causing pollution in oceans and on land. Becoming a threat to animals’ life and generating islands of plastic in the ocean. So, is important to understand why they should or should not be banned. In this essay I will explain the effects of plastic on the environment and why countries should ban the use them.

Plastic products are usable many times, people should conserve and use them according to the durability not just once and after throw to the garbage. This is the main problem with some plastic products such as bag. Their use is promoted by supermarkets, where people buy something and it is packed in a plastic bag, and after the bag goes to the landfill or to the ocean, because people don’t have a culture to reuse or recycle those bags. In these disposal places, bags have a negative environmental impact on the animals, mainly in the oceans. Where turtles, fishes, sharks, and dolphins eat or get caught in plastic bags and die.

To curb the increase of landfills, plastic islands in the oceans, and the death of animals, it is necessary that countries develop a spark action against the use of plastic bags. Not only banning their use but also developing awareness in people about the good way to use them. Of course, is necessary restrict them in supermarkets and stores in general and develop a plan to replace them by carton bags.

Finally, plastic bags have long durability, people need to be aware of that and use them according. Countries should develop rules for plastic use and create cartoon bags to replace them.

Climate change is a reality that we are facing in the last decades. There are different reasons why our world is changing and the human race development is a huge one. The amount of trash, especially plastic stuff, is the effect of the consumer culture we are living in these days; that’s why in many countries plastic bags are one of the main sources of rubbish causing pollution in oceans and on land. We have so much garbage on earth that it is becoming impossible to dispose of it in the correct way.. This essay will discuss the reasons why it is necessary to begin banning some of the most problematic items, like plastic bags.

Plastic is a good and fast solution to many consumer problems, but its consequences have been catastrophic since its creation. Plastic bags take more than 100 years to decompose and we are making millions more every second. We are running out of space to dispose of this type of waste correctly, and in some countries the recycling culture is not strong. That’s why oceans, forests and even the cities are full of plastic bags. Some countries are seeing it as a huge problem for its development, so they are banning the production and use of plastic bags. I think it is a good idea to do this in all the countries around the world.

These days there are a lot of solutions for consumer problems other than plastic bags. These solutions are more expensive in production, but cheaper in consequences for the environment. Sticking to the use of plastic bags is only a death sentence for the human race. It is really important to picture a future with the lowest amount of plastic possible. Countries have to make proper laws to stop the consumption of plastic on a daily basis.

In conclusion, over production of plastic is a huge problem; it is difficult to decompose, we don’t have enough space and good methods to dispose of it in a correct way and the worst part, even though the earth it’s full of them, we are not stopping producing it. The only solution we have to face it’s the banning of this type of product and find other and better solutions.

During the past years, there have been many discussions worldwide about the pollution that plastic bags are generating in the environment. In many countries it has been stated that plastic bags are the main source of rubish and pollution in oceans and on land. In this essay I will write about the reasons why some countries agree or disagree that the use of these kinds of bags has far-reaching consequences in the earth and why I consider that they should be prohibited.

In many countries such as Spain, the United States and Germany, the political leaders have indicated that the use of plastic bags is having a serious impact in the environment, including the oceans and land, and based on this situation they have prohibited their use. For example, they have taken strong measures to struggle with this situation and, because of that, plastic bags are not even sold in supermarkets or the stores.

On the contrary, in some other countries like Venezuela, the government and political leaders have not taken any actions to ban the use of plastic bags since they do not consider it as a culprit for the pollution. This is the reason why in this territory no new actions have been adopted to try to reduce the use of plastic bags, consequently, they are still offered in all supermarkets for free and the landfills are full of this type of polluting material.

In conclusion, goverments and political organizations worldwide should curb the use of plastic bags so that the pollution is reduced, and the environment stops suffering the impact that this has been causing.

The essay of this topic will discuss about the importance of ban those bad practices with the plastic and better ways to control them.

There are several consequences in our environment that are not been controlled in a proper way, this is the case of the bag plastic production that are the most of our complex situations we have as human being and plastic consumers, for example, in countries where there is great amount of production and consumption of plastic, packaged goods, packaged food and packaged drink water like United States, China, India and many others. Firstly, ban the production of elements that affect important and relevant species in our natural system and decrease the discard of those elements.

Otherwise, is important to keep in mind as well the disadvantage of stop production of plastic elements, for instance, in the economy of some industries that are involved in the production of these kind dire situations, so that is why those companies need to create an action plan to keep increasing profits without affecting the environment.

To finish with this essay, the bad production of packaged goods using plastic elements always can affect negative impacts in our environment. Important and essential places and species have been affected due to bag plastic, so that we need to add a spark action to stop knock-on effect in the industries and obviously stop bag plastic production.

Pollution is one of the biggest concerns of the humanity. One of the main drivers of pollution are the plastic bags, which end up in the bottom of the oceans, with dire consequences to ecosystems. Although most of the people agree that the production of these bags must decrease to curb the environment impact, there are different opinions on how to achieve this goal. In this essay, I will provide some reasons for believing that charging taxes on plastic bag sales, and not a sudden ban on sales, is the most effective way to shrink the global production of plastic bags.

Through years, taxes on products have been a method implemented by governments to curb the production of certain products that causes damages to the environment. For instance, in many countries, the excessive amount of air pollution that motor cars expel to the atmosphere is penalized through heavy taxes. This encourages companies to improve the technology involved in the construction of these devices, in pursuit of decreasing air pollution. The same could apply plastic bags, if governments levy increasing taxes on these companies, they can encourage them to migrate their production to others with that causes a lesser impact in the environment.

Conventional wisdom considers that a sudden ban on plastic bag is the solution to halt its production. Nevertheless, the difficulties of its implementation outweigh its benefits. The experience with other products that have been banned dictates that most of the time it is created a “black market” in which the products are still being traded, but in an illegal way. The same would happen with plastic bags since it is very complicated to fully enforce a ban of these products in multiple geographies.

To sum up, by levying heavy taxes on the production of plastic bags, governments can increase its price, reducing its competitive advantage over substitute products. This would be an economical alternative to fight pollution and climate change.
