I was born on August 27th 1987 in Bogotá, but my mom moved to Sogamoso and registered my name in (Boyacá) 8 days later so I celebrate my birthday on august 4th.

A sad moment- In January 1998

I never lived with my father, he used to visit me when I was a little girl, but he desappeared when I was 11. Some months after that, a classmate of mine told me that my father had a car crash and I didn´t know anything about him anymore till I was 25.

My favorite trip in December 1997

My uncle took my cousins and some relatives including me to flat land in Casanare. We went by a little truck and all the children were on the back of the vehicle. We literally ate a lot of dust along the way, but it was worth it cause we camped to the river shore and the next day we practiced to shoot to a can with a shotgun.

Tehe happiest day of my life 2012

I had been praying for an opportunity for interpreting and some North American missionaries came to my church that year. I learned english by myself so I was a little stressed out because besides it was my first time translating, it happened in the church I grew up. That sunday the people in the church were looking for the interpreter, they were expecting that he/she was someone who came accompaining the foreing team, but when they saw it was me, some of them were in shock. It was really exciting. I made many mistakes, but it helped me to become more confident when speaking.

A mishap in 2008

I had just graduated as a Construction technician at the SENA and traveled to Yopal to look for a job. Some day I got a job as a painter. My boss asked me to paint some walls on the top so I had to go up by a scaffold. Then when I was trying to go up I streched my hand to a wood lath that was laid on the scaffold, but unfortunately I didn´t notice that there was a bucket paint opened there, the lath stumbled and I poured all that bucket of paint over myself from head to toe. That was pretty embarrasing.

My last vacation in January 2024

On my last vaction I was at home with my mother. Some relatives came to visit us and we spent time together. Being in Sogamoso is very relaxing cause it is a valley sorounded by mountains and many green eucalyptus. On january 1st we went hiking with my family, we walked by the river shore and found a picturesque flat place among the trees. There we took some family pictures and had lunch.

My high school graduation 2003

In 2003 I graduated from high school. It was a hard, fun and nice experience. It was mandatory by the school to graduate with the uniform, but three days before I burnt my school skirt trying to dry it with an iron. The whole was too big, that I had to ask a friend of mine who was in 10th grade to lend me her skirt. Those days were freaky cause my family didn´t have enough money to pay my graduation rights and we owe some school fees. But finally we got it. It was a fancy and honorable celebration. My uncle Luis and and his daugther attended to the ceremony and they invited me to have fried chicken for dinner.

My best christmas 1992-1997

When I was 6 there was a short season of 4 or 5 good and fun years, my mom introduced me to my aunt Gloria and her husband Narcizo. They were a very united couple and Narcizo liked to celebrate christmas with fireworks, gifts, carols, barbecues and so on. On Christmas night he used to have a party where all my relatives attended. In that party we prayed and I used to play with all my cousins different games on the street such as, congelados, la lleva, quemados, among others. Adults played with gunpowder volcanos, gunpowder torpedoes, etc. We got fun and kept those memorable times in our hearts.

Bible School time 2013

Due to I interpreted for that northamerican missionary the year before, he offered to pay my Theological studies, so in 2013 I moved to Fusagasugá to a Bible School (seminary) to study for the ministry. It means to increase your knowlege about how to interpret the scriptuares according to the context of the Bible. I met many wonderful people there, good teachers and friends. I learnt to live with other girls from different regions of the country and knew some about their culture. It was an enriching experience.

Being a teacher 2021-2023

The last 4 years have been unforgettable. After I graduated as a Teacher in theology, I started to teach in the same Bible school where I studied. There I had the opportunity to share my knowlege and the grace to bless other young people with my gifs. I worked for two years at the Bible School and one year for an english academy in Fusagasugá. In both places I met young people full of life and eager to learn and help society.

Many of them were very affectionate, respectful, talented and smart. I acquired a stunning experience there.
