How can polluted water become clean water? As the life straw name is life straw, this small straw can purify dirty water to clean water that we can drink. 
 The secret is in its inner side. It seems unsophisticated, but its' inner has a complex organization. Let's look at the picture. The first part is a membrane filter of fibrous tissue commonly used in water purifiers to filter out a certain size or less. The second part is iodine, which filters out germs and bacteria. The third part is to manage freshness and taste with activated carbon.

 However, I think the price is too expensive for African people. It is 25,000 won. It seems a little bit expensive through size. How can the small straw costs over 2,000 won? But the technology it takes make me understand little bit. But 25,000 won. Do African people who live in a nation that doesn't have enough water like Somalia have spare to buy it? No. Even in Africa, they had a murder because they fought to take the life straw. Also,it is said that the socially disadvantaged, given free of charge, rarely use it properly, and there are many cases where it is sold or exchanged for money before it is stolen or taken away.

 So, I think the life straw is a wonderful technology. Because of the technology that we can drink polluted water without a large purify system. And I love the compact size that makes us use it comfortably. But the price that didn't considered the income levels of developing countries made me disappointed.
