As an emergency preparedness manager, he leads, manages, and develops emergency programs for the district. Ben Minkin is also responsible for protecting campus communities through the coordination and integration of all activities that are essential to sustain and improve internal emergency response capabilities.

Ben’Zara Minkin applies science, technology, management, and planning to prepare for extreme events that might result in mass loss of life or injuries, severe damage to property, or disruption of district community life. He oversees the response and resolution of sensitive complaints and inquiries made by the citizens. He does this by explaining and defending department programs, policies, and activities. He also serves as the district’s representative to committees and community organizations that have a stake in safety and emergency management.
