I think Joy is smart because she works hard for all her exams. If I want to be as good as her,I can work hard, really really hard just like her so I can be smart like her . Here is another thing I can do, I can become good friends with her (which I think I already am. This is some things I can learn from her :
1. If I have some difficulty in my work, I can always ask her to help me
2. I can also learn to study myself just like her
3. Revise my homework everyday( I am not sure she does this but I am quite sure she will do it.
4. Read more books like her to improve my English(My English is not very good I should really read more books like Joy
5. Follow her good examples like : listen attentively in class, reading books or doing homework in between periods
6. maybe manage my time better (Here is a question for Joy: what time do you sleep, others you can write down too!!)

"Will Donald Trump be impeached from presidency?" by Joy

I am not very sure. Firstly, I strongly believe that Donald Trump has been contacting the Russians in order for him to win the election. Reports have shown that he has been doing so. The Russians have made use of social media to spread rumors or nasty comments about Hilary Clinton. After reading those comments, people would definitely vote for Donald Trump instead of Hilary Clinton. Also, I believe that the Russians hacked into Mrs Clinton's email so that they could find out some wrong things that she had done so that Mr Trump could use them against her. Secondly, it is against the law in the United States to work with a foreign power to act against the interests of the United States. It is treasonous.
On the other hand, the US has only impeached one president before, I think. There are also many Trump supporters. If Mr Trump is impeached, there may be riots. I am sure the citizens would not like that to happen as deaths may occur if someone accidentally tramples on another person.
I do not know if the pros outweigh the cons, or if the cons outweigh the pros. If he is not impeached from presidency, I certainly hope that he would not stay in office for another term. I feel that Mrs Clinton would do a better job.

How did king Tutankhamen die? By: Clement Chua

On 3 January,1984,King Tut's(Tutankhamen) tomb was uncovered by the British archaeologist Howard Carter. King Tut is the most well known pharaoh. It is believed that he was the son of Pharaoh Amenhotep IV (also known as Akhenaten). The birth name of Tutankhamen was Tutankhaten, which meant “Living Image of the Aten.” He started to rule Egypt at the age of nine until the age of about eighteen. He was probably the 12th king of Egypt's 18th dynasty and is often known as the "boy king". At the start of his rule, he was assisted by his advisers. King Tut is well known by his golden death mask.Because Tutankhamen’s remains revealed a hole in the back of the skull, some historians had concluded that the young king was assassinated, but recent tests suggest that the hole was made during mummification. His death is a mystery until now. X-rays taken in 1968 indicates that he may have been killed by a blow to his head. However, DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) analysis a few years after 2005 showed that he had a severe form of malaria that affected his brain had probably killed him. Some people believe that Ay, who was a high official in Akhenaten’s court, murdered him. Ay then staked his claim as pharaoh. Ay went on to rule for only 4 years and died shortly after acquiring the throne. So how did he actually die? It is still unknown to us despite the many theories. If you have any theories, feel free to comment. Thank you for your kind attention. : )

The history of homework actually goes back to the year 1095 in the city of Venice where Roberto Nevilis is credited with being the first teach to use homework. However, it must be noted that there might have been instructors who gave out homework before Nevilis, but there is no evidence that has been discovered as of yet to prove a predecessor. In fact, homework was invented at roughly the same time as the formal school system. During that time, formal education was only available to the well-to-do and Nevilis wanted to help his students fully understand and embrace the full meaning of the lessons. Arguably because the formal educational system was being developed at the same time, homework in European countries became well established as part of the educational system. However, not all people appreciate homework. For example , me.
Thank you for your kind attention.

Many believe in ghosts, but more often then not they are just a figment of our imagination. I know, if you believe in ghosts yourself, you must be thinking,"Say WHAT?!?",but it's true. When people visit "haunted" places, their brains automatically recall the supernatural facts that they know about that place, and sometimes you can get so freaked out that your brain gets confused and merges your memories with reality. Basically, what I mean is that you might be seeing what you are really remembering instead. However, please take note that I used the word"MIGHT". All in all, ghosts do sometimes show themselves, but whether they are real or imaginary we can never be quite sure.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you learned something from this article. Please feel free to comment!😜👻

He did not have yet any evidence of other life on space, yet he somehow knew that the planets were teeming with life. There are hundreds of teeny planets just around nearby stars, and if you extrapolate that data, it looks like there could be half trillion planets, and probably one out of every thousand planet would have some sort of life forms other than some types of bacteria that survive in space. It was said that the "good people" will go to heaven and the "bad people" will go to hell. Also , there was an article which said that people who believes in lord will go to heaven and people who dont believe in lord will go to hell.

Then was the second common answer. Articles stated that in the bible, it is said that death is like "sleeping".This means that we are unconsious and not aware of our surroundings.

Personally, I hope that we can turn into a new being after death. Also , i think that people all have different thinkings because if there religion.

"Does Atlantis exist and if it does, where is it now?" by Isabelle

Most agree that Atlantis existed. However, no one knows where it is now, and how it disappeared. Some theories about Atlantis are:

1.ATLANTIS WAS A MID-ATLANTIC CONTINENT THAT SUDDENLY SANK INTO THE OCEAN

Assuming the Atlantic Ocean was only a few hundred feet deep, Donnelly described a continent flooded by shifting ocean waters that sank in the exact location Plato said it did: in the Atlantic Ocean just outside the “Pillars of Hercules,” the two rocks that mark the entrance to the Straits of Gibraltar.

2. ATLANTIS WAS SWALLOWED BY THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE(refer to yumeng's post)

Mr Charles Berlitz claimed that Atlantis was a continent located off the Bahamas and was 'swallowed' by the notorious Bermuda Triangle.

3. ATLANTIS WAS ANTARTICA

Some believe Atlantis was a more temperate place than Antartica. According to Hapgood, around 12,000 years ago the Earth’s crust shifted, displacing the continent that became Antarctica from a location much further north than it is today. This more temperate continent was home to an advanced civilization, but the sudden shift to its current frigid location doomed the civilization’s inhabitants–the Atlanteans–and their magnificent city was buried under layers of ice.

4. THE STORY OF ATLANTIS WAS A MYTHICAL RETELLING OF THE BLACK SEA FLOOD

This theory presumes Atlantis itself was fictional, but the story of its demise was inspired by an actual historical event: the breaching of the Bosporus by the Mediterranean Sea and subsequent flooding of the Black Sea, around 5600 B.C. At the time, the Black Sea was a freshwater lake half its current size. The flooding inundated civilizations known to flourish along its shore with hundreds of feet of sea water in a short period of time (perhaps less than a year). As inhabitants of the region scattered, they spread tales of the deluge, and may have led–thousands of years later–to Plato’s account of Atlantis.

5. ATLANTIS IS THE STORY OF THE MINOAN CIVILIZATION

Believed to be Europe’s first great civilization, the Minoans built splendid palaces, constructed paved roads and were the first Europeans to use a written language (Linear A). At the height of their power, however, the Minoans suddenly disappeared from history–an enduring mystery that has fueled belief in a link between this great, doomed civilization and Plato’s Atlantis. Historians believe around 1600 B.C., a massive earthquake shook the volcanic island of Thera, triggering an eruption that spewed 10 million tons of rock, ash and gas into the atmosphere. Tsunamis that followed the eruption were large enough to wipe out Minoan cities throughout the region

6. ATLANTIS DIDN'T EXIST-PLATO MADE IT UP

Most historians and scientists throughout history have come to the conclusion that Plato’s account of the lost kingdom of Atlantis was fictional. According to this argument, the Greek philosopher invented Atlantis as his vision of an ideal civilization, and intended the story of its demise to be a cautionary tale of the gods punishing human hubris. No written records of Atlantis exist outside of Plato’s dialogues, including in any of the numerous other texts that survive from ancient Greece. Furthermore, despite modern advances in oceanography and ocean-floor mapping, no trace of such a sunken civilization has ever been found.

Personally I think Atlantis existed, but I am still not sure how it disappeared. I really hope we will have some leads on whether Atlantis existed and where it actually is. It would be super cool to find a new ancient civilization!
I think the reason that I feel is real is 5. Please comment which reason you think sounds the most logical!

Are Loch Ness Monsters real? By Yeo Xin Yi

The Loch Ness Monster is one of the many mythical creatures people have been finding out if they exists.
  And they do.
The first person who spot it, I think is a couple, but I could not give you the true evidence because I couldn't find the people who got the first sighting of the Loch Ness Monster on the internet. My guess could or could not be accurate, but the reason I guessed is a couple because most mythical creatures were first spotted by couples.
The first two Loch Ness Monster thet was spotted is named Nessie and Niseag. Loch Ness Monsters are aquatic animals which reputedly inhabits Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. It is similar to other supposed lake monsters in Scotland and elsewhere, and is often described as being large in size, with a long neck and one or more humps protruding from the water. Popular interest and belief in the creature has varied since it was brought to worldwide attention in 1933. Evidence of its existence is anecdotal, with a few disputed photographs and sonar readings. Adapted from: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loch_Ness_Monster#Name
I think that the Loch Ness Monster is the most commonly spotted among the mythical creatures, because I have heard about more sightings of the Loch Ness Monsters nowadays.
Actually, what caused me to wonder about the Loch Ness Monster's existence?
I had done one comprehension about Loch Ness Monsters in my tuition class last year, and one about mythical creatures.. My tutor showed me a number of videos about some mythical creatures that actually existed, and the Loch Ness Monster was one of them.
So that left me wondering if Loch Ness Monsters really exists, because sometimes I don't trust the internet.
And the answer is right here!

Other reasons that are less important are:
-Getting to eat really good stuff
-To get to use the most wonderful thing in existence: Gadgets like computers and phones.
If you guys have any other suggestions on why on Earth we are here for, please comment! But I really do not want religious reasons, we do not want to offend people who are not Christians (including me) here.
<3, Chelsea

"Does the Loch Ness Monster really exist?" By Justin

Many people wonder whether if Scotland's mystical creature really exists...
The Loch Ness Monster, also known as Nessie had been a myth long ago, but is it real? We shall find out now! In 21 April 1934, the"surgeon's photograph" is reportedly the first photo of the creature's head and neck. Supposedly taken by Robert Kenneth Wilson, a London gynaecologist, it was published in the Daily Mail on 21 April 1934. Wilson's refusal to have his name associated with it led to it being known as the "surgeon's photograph". According to Wilson, he was looking at the loch which means [Lake] when he saw the monster, grabbed his camera and snapped four photos. Only two exposures came out clearly; the first reportedly shows a small head and back, and the second shows a similar head in a diving position. The first photo became well-known, and the second attracted little publicity because of its blurriness. So reading until here do you think its real?
Well, let's continue. Although for a number of years the photo was considered evidence of the monster, sceptics dismissed it as driftwood, an elephant, an otter, or a bird, the photo was actually cropped and was found out to be a toy submarine built by Christian Spurling which had a dinosaur's head attached to it. The ripples in the photo were found to fit the size and pattern of small ripples, unlike large waves photographed up close. Analysis of the original image fostered further doubt. Wilson took that photo to get revenge for his friend which actually was a hoax as previously, he wanted to get famous and used a hippo's footprint and marked the ground near Loch Ness Lake with it, he claimed it was from the creature so it was sent to a museum to see whether it was real or not. So, that's how the museum found out it was nothing but a fake hippo's footprint.
If you think its real, which I do great but tell me why?
I know my answer but do you?
If you think it's fake, explain to me why some people saw it! I mean yes they could have hallucinated but we're talking about thousands of people here!
Well let's go on!
But let me give you a code since u have been reading this for so long! Code:Pancakes
So I think it's real but now im gonna explain how it came into Loch Ness Lake.
First of all it looks like a plesiosaur, so how did it survive the meteorite which wiped out all the dinosaurs?
Simple, it could have been frozen in ice and during floods, it could've drifted into the lake all the way from the sea and got trapped their when the flood disappeared. But, here's the plot twist....
The scientist got a sample from the bottom of the lake and studied it, but there was no sign of seawater!?
And even if there was a Loch Ness Monster, it could'nt have survived long cause the supply of fish in the lake are not enough for the monster to survive!
But don't give up hope! Nessie believers!
Cause I'm sure one day the truth will unfold...
And Im Sure...
That The Loch Ness Monster was once alive... But now gone.
Well here's a pic of the surgeon's photo.

Source: https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2017/spanning-disciplines-in-the-search-for-life-beyond-earth

The search for life beyond Earth is riding a surge of creativity and innovation. Following a gold rush of exoplanet discovery over the past two decades, it is time to tackle the next step: determining which of the known exoplanets are proper candidates for life.

Scientists from NASA and two universities presented new results dedicated to this task in fields spanning astrophysics, Earth science, heliophysics and planetary science — demonstrating how a cross-disciplinary approach is essential to finding life on other worlds — at the fall meeting of the American Geophysical Union on Dec. 13, 2017, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

“The potentially habitable real estate in the universe has greatly expanded,” said Giada Arney, an astrobiologist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. “We now know of thousands of exoplanets, but what we know about them is limited because we can’t yet see them directly.”

Currently, scientists mostly rely on indirect methods to identify and study exoplanets; such methods can tell them whether a planet is Earth-like or how close it is to its parent star. But this isn’t yet enough to say whether a planet is truly habitable, or suitable for life — for this, scientists must ultimately be able to observe exoplanets directly.

Direct-imaging instrument and mission designs are underway, but in the meantime, Arney explained, scientists are making progress with tools already at their disposal. They are building computational models to simulate what habitable planets might look like and how they would interact with their parent stars. To validate their models, they are looking to planets within our own solar system, as analogs for the exoplanets we may one day discover. This, of course, includes Earth itself — the planet we know best, and the only one we know of yet that is habitable.

“In our quest for life on other worlds, it is important for scientists to consider exoplanets from a holistic sense — that is, from the perspective of multiple disciplines,” Arney said. “We need these multi-disciplinary studies to examine exoplanets as the complex worlds shaped by multiple astrophysical, planetary and stellar processes, rather than just distant points in the sky.”

Studying Earth as an Exoplanet

When humans start collecting the first direct images of exoplanets, even the closest image will appear as a handful of pixels. What can we learn about planetary life from just a smattering of pixels?

Stephen Kane, an exoplanets expert at the University of California, Riverside, has come up with one way to answer that question using NASA’s Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera aboard the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Deep Space Climate Observatory, or DSCOVR. Kane explained that he and his colleagues take DSCOVR’s high-resolution images — typically used to document Earth’s global weather patterns and other climate-related events — and degrade them down to images just a few pixels in size. Kane runs the DSCOVR images through a noise filter that attempts to simulate the interference expected from an exoplanet mission.

“From just a handful of pixels, we try to extract as much information that we know about Earth as we can,” Kane said. “If we can do it accurately for Earth, we can do this for planets around other stars.”DSCOVR takes a picture every half hour and it's been in orbit for two years. Its more than 30,000 images are by far the longest continuous record of full-disk observations from space in existence. By observing how the brightness of Earth changes when mostly land is in view compared with mostly water, Kane has been able to reverse-engineer Earth's albedo, obliquity, rotation rate and even seasonal variation — something that has yet to be measured directly for exoplanets — all of which could potentially influence a planet’s ability to support life.

Searching for Other Venuses Much the way scientists use Earth as a case-study for habitable planets, they also use planets within the solar system — and therefore planets they are more familiar with — as studies for what makes planets uninhabitable.Kane also studies Earth’s sister planet, Venus, where the surface is 850 degrees Fahrenheit and the atmosphere — filled with sulfuric acid — bogs down on the surface with 90 times the pressure of Earth’s. Since Earth and Venus are so close in size and yet so different in terms of their prospects for habitability, he is interested in developing methods for distinguishing Earth- and Venus-analogs in other planetary systems, as a way of identifying potentially habitable terrestrial planets.Kane explained that he works to identify Venus analogs in data from NASA’s Kepler by defining the “Venus Zone,” where planetary insolation — how much light a given planet receives from its host star — plays a key role in atmospheric erosion and greenhouse gas cycles. “The fate of Earth and Venus and their atmospheres are tied to each other,” Kane said. “By searching for similar planets, we are trying to understand their evolution, and ultimately how often developing planets end up a Venus-like hellscape.

”Modeling Star-Planet Interactions While Kane talked about planets, Goddard space scientist Katherine Garcia-Sage focused on the way planets interact with their host star. Scientists must also consider how the qualities of a host star and a planet’s electromagnetic environment — which can shield it from harsh stellar radiation — either hinder or help habitability. Earth’s magnetic field, for example, protects the atmosphere from the harsh solar wind, the Sun’s constant outpouring of charged solar material, which can strip away atmospheric gases in a process called ionospheric escape.Garcia-Sage described research on Proxima b, an exoplanet that is four light-years away and known to exist within the habitable zone of its red dwarf star, Proxima Centauri. But just because it’s in the habitable zone — the right distance from a star where water could pool on a planet’s surface — doesn’t necessarily mean it’s habitable. While scientists can’t yet tell whether Proxima b is magnetized, they can use computational models to simulate how well an Earth-like magnetic field would protect its atmosphere at the exoplanet’s close orbit to Proxima Centauri, which frequently produces violent stellar storms. The effects of such storms on a given planet’s space environment are collectively known as space weather.“We need to understand a planet’s space weather environment to understand whether a planet is habitable,” Garcia-Sage said. “If the star is too active, it can endanger an atmosphere, which is necessary for providing liquid water. But there’s a fine line: There is some indication that radiation from a star can produce building blocks for life.”A red dwarf star — one of the most common types of stars in our galaxy — like Proxima Centauri strips away atmosphere when extreme ultraviolet radiation ionizes atmospheric gases, producing a swath of electrically charged particles that can stream out into space along magnetic field lines. The scientists calculated how much radiation Proxima Centauri produces on average, based on observations from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory. At Proxima b’s orbit, the scientists found their Earth-like planet encountered bouts of extreme ultraviolet radiation hundreds of times greater than Earth does from the Sun.Garcia-Sage and her colleagues designed a computer model to study whether an Earth-like planet — with Earth’s atmosphere, magnetic field and gravity — in Proxima b’s orbit could hold on to its atmosphere. They examined three factors that drive ionospheric escape: stellar radiation, temperature of the neutral atmosphere, and size of the polar cap, the region over which the escape happens. The scientists show that with the extreme conditions likely to exist at Proxima b, the planet could lose an amount equivalent to the entirety of Earth’s atmosphere in 100 million years — just a fraction of Proxima b’s 4 billion years thus far. Even in the best-case scenario, that much mass escapes over 2 billion years, well within the planet’s lifetime.

Mars, a Laboratory for Studying Exoplanets While Garcia-Sage spoke of magnetized planets, David Brain, planetary scientist at the University of Colorado, Boulder, spoke of Mars — a planet without a magnetic field.“Mars is a great laboratory for thinking about exoplanets,” Brain said. “We can use Mars to help constrain our thinking about a variety of rocky exoplanets where we don’t have observations yet.”Brain’s research uses observations from NASA’s Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution, or MAVEN, mission to ask the question: How would Mars have evolved if it were orbiting a different kind of star? The answer provides information for how rocky planets — not unlike our own — could develop differently in different situations. It is thought that Mars once carried water and an atmosphere that might have made it hospitable to Earth-like life. But Mars lost much of its atmosphere over time through a variety of chemical and physical processes — MAVEN has observed similar atmospheric loss on the planet since its launch in late 2013. Brain, a MAVEN co-investigator, and his colleagues applied MAVEN’s insights to a hypothetical simulation of a Mars-like planet orbiting an M-class star — commonly known as a red dwarf star. In this imaginary situation, the planet would receive about five to 10 times more ultraviolet radiation than the real Mars does, which in turn speeds up atmospheric escape to much higher rates. Their calculations indicate that the planet’s atmosphere could lose three to five times as many charged particles and about five to 10 times more neutral particles.Such a rate of atmospheric loss suggests that orbiting at the edge of the habitable zone of a quiet M-class star, instead of our Sun, could shorten the habitable period for the planet by a factor of about five to 20.“But I wouldn’t give up hope for rocky planets orbiting M dwarfs,” Brain said. “We picked a worst-case scenario. Mars is a small planet, and lacks a magnetic field so solar wind can more effectively strip away its atmosphere. We also picked a Mars that isn’t geologically active, so there’s no internal source of atmosphere. If you changed any one factor, such a planet might be a happier place.”Each one of these studies contributes just one piece to a much larger puzzle — to determine what characteristics we should look for, and need to recognize, in the search for a planet that might support life. Together, such interdisciplinary research lays the groundwork to ensure that, as new missions to observe exoplanets more clearly are developed, we’ll be ready to determine if they might just host life.Banner image: An illustration of Kepler-186f, the first Earth-size planet discovered within a star’s habitable zone.
"Are ghost real?"By Ethan Ma :)

Are ghosts real, or are they just something we imagined? Well, 61% of the population says that they believe that other people have “experienced ghosts.” And by comparison, only 42% of Americans will say that they believe in ghosts themselves. If you tell me that you have seen a ghost and I say I believe you then logically that means that I must believe that ghosts exist otherwise I wouldn’t believe you. They either exist or they don’t. It’s a yes or no question. Therefore, those that say that they believe others have experienced ghosts also must believe in ghosts themselves. I’m willing to bet the source of this statistical difference lies in people not wanting to admit how much they actually believe in the paranormal because they’re afraid of what people will think.I'm going to prove to you that ghosts are in fact real, and that it’s nothing to be ashamed of to believe in them. Science can’t prove their existence. Well, I hate to tell most of you but science can’t prove everything. Here’s a few things that people believe in, but science still can’t prove:Astrology, Aliens,God(Which I believe),Ghosts,Superpowers(Which I believe too).Scientist are also convinced that people are just seeing things. It’s true people can make up any story they want and people are capable of lying. But we can't expect everyone that thinks they've seen a ghost is lying can we? Maybe everyone in the room is just hallucinating? That might explain how the people see and describe the same ‘abnormal figure’? However, Psychology teaches us that two people cannot experience the same hallucination. It is impossible.Personally,I think ghosts are just optical illusions, that aren't really there.I think all the ghosts photos were photo shop and movie magic to make ghosts appear on the screen, but what about way back when, when we didn’t have any of that equipment and ghost like figures still appeared? You may be thinking that those were just pieces of dust too close to the lens and some have been reported as that. But here’s a picture that definitely doesn’t look like a piece of dust…

This picture is from 1936. This crew took a group picture a few days after the death of one of their crewmates, and if you look closely, you can see some figure standing behind one of the men which bears a resemblance to the deceased crew member.Last but not least, check out these videos:
https://youtu.be/eW-aZgHwlqU and https://youtu.be/TaPpUM6VaDM.Brrrrr,all these creepy informations make me shiver. If you have any ghost stories or questions, feel free to share them with me!

According to research, it says that durians have a potent stench that it’s banned on the Singapore Rapid Mass Transit even with the husk intact. Food writer Richard Sterling has written that it’s odor could be smelled from yards away.

Now, in a new study in the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry, a group of scientists from the German Research Center for Food Chemistry has attempted to figure out how exactly durians produces such a powerful stench. The experiment is taken from Thai durians, with a mass spectrometer and gas chromatograph, pinpointed 50 discrete compounds in the fruit responsible for its uncommon aroma. Those compounds included eight that hadn’t been detected in durians before and four compounds that had been completely unknown in Science. So the powerful stench is actually the mixture of different chemicals!

There are a huge range of characteristics of durians. It includes labels like fruity, skunky, metallic, rubbery, burnt, roasted onion, garlic, cheese, onion and honey. Some other had been detected in a few substances such as cooked beef, yeast extract, dried squid and leeks. There are many more too!

"How do wolves save the environment?" By Natalie Low

To answer this question, I did some research and came across an article about the how a small number of wolves, managed to bring life back to the Yellowstone National Park in United States . The wolves were introduced to the park in 1995, the first time in seventy years. Before then, the population of deer was increasing rapidly as there were no predators. As a result, the plants were all being eaten. What used to be grasslands, turned into bare patches of soil!

When the wolves were released into the park, they preyed on some deer and chased some out of the park. The behaviour of the deer changed accordingly and they avoided some areas of the park. Within six years, the whole park revived!!! The grassland grew into shrubs and the trees regenerated! As the trees started to grow back , more birds and squirrels migrated, providing food for larger birds, such as eagles and vultures. The field became a home to snakes, mice, rabbits and hares, providing sufficient food for foxes and bears.

The most significant of all events was the change of the rivers’ courses! The rivers changed due to the growth of the trees which stabilised the soil. As the river courses gradually changed , beavers started to build dams, providing habitats for all amphibians, fishes, ducks and geese!

In this case, wolves, the common predators, are in fact the environment engineers! Though a small number of them, they brought life back to the Yellowstone Park.

My take of this article is, everyone can have a positive influence on our peers and environment regardless of age and background. At the same time, we should be constantly mindful of how our actions can impact on each other and the larger community.

We are young but we have infinite potential to make the world a better place.

Although no one really knows how Hitler died, but a lot of people believed that he killed himself. There are conspiracy that he escaped to Berlin with his wife, Eva Bruan.
He was warned by officers that the Russians were only a day or so from overtaking the chancellery and urged him to escape to Berchtesgarden, a small town in the Bavarian Alps where Hitler owned a home, the dictator instead chose suicide. It is believed that both he and his wife swallowed cyanide capsules (which had been tested for their efficacy on his “beloved” dog and her pups). For good measure, he shot himself with his service pistol.
One of the Nazi principles was that death was better than dishonor, which may have prompted Hitler to rather chose suicide than (if he survived the capture) be tried for his crimes against humanity. He may also have believed that a captain doesn’t abandon a sinking ship, which would make trying to flee a dishonorable act. Hitler may have decided to stay in Berlin right till the end to prove that he stand by his ideals and was there for his people.
https://www.historyonthenet.com/why-did-hitler-kill-himself/
There are however theorists that do claim Hitler and Eva managed to escape to South America, where they lived out their lives with their children, but these claims have been discarded by most historians. On wikipidia they say that Grey Wolf: The Escape of Adolf Hitler, by British authors Simon Dunstan and Gerrard Williams, suggest that Hitler and Braun did not commit suicide, but actually escaped to Argentina.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conspiracy_theories_about_Adolf_Hitler%27s_death
If you have any idea how Hitler died, feel free to comment.
