I grew up training horses, and it was neat to see how the trainers attitude was reflected in the performance of the horse. Very interesting article and eye opening how our pets can pick up on our attitude and feelings so easily.

Forbes suggests using a team charter to have the best possible communication with virtual meetings. This relates very well with COVID causing many work places to change to remote working. I think that this article might have been more effective if it came out more towards the beginning of the pandemic as opposed to a year after the pandemic hit the United States. Overall, I think this is a beneficial article because it is what we are starting to introduce in this class and it allows a good ice breaking assignments for all groups that are made up of strangers.
Morgan Avink

With almost every company being shut down due to the pandemic, there are now more people looking for jobs than ever before that are straight from college. There are many job seekers stating their frustration with companies that are focusing on the gap in employment rather than their actual ability to do the job, their social skills, or their ambition. As a student that is going to be done with college in the next few years, I am making sure I do everything I can to address this shift in thinking, hoping people will go back to focusing on the individual's fit for the job rather than their lack of work within the last year or so.

Morgan Avink

I do think that have the power of information is a very helpful thing when trying to run a business because it gives you an advantage. Like the article says, knowing about different advances early and being persuasive enough to implement these new actions really will benefit a company. The risk-taking aspect of this really related to the reading from this week and how as leaders with power we are more likely to take risks. I believe this article proves that statement.
Morgan Avink
