Racism,segregation,Jim Crow Laws were all forms of racism back then. Segregation was most commonly used in the south to seperate whites and blacks. The segregation was in bathrooms, schools, water fountains, churches and even when buying a house.

A reformer back then was Booker T. Washington. Booker T. Washington was born as a slave. He was the most influential african american at that time, between 1895 and 1915. Booker was also a very influential public speaker for civil rights.

Booker T. Washington emphasized on economic self-determination, Over politics. Civil Rights fell out of favor as the views of his largest article W.E.B Du Bois, took root and inspired the civil rights movement.

The problem with racism is still ongoing in the USA. Although segregation got abolished in the South. But there are new forms of discrimination with hate crimes, and groups. Like the KKK or White Supremacy.

Booker T. Washington and Jesse Jackson both accomplished many things during their time as civil rights leaders. They were both very influential public speakers for Civil Rights. Booker ended segregation in the south but did not end racism. Jesse Jackson is still trying to end racism.

Booker T Washington and Jesse Jackson both accomplished a lot throughout their time as Civil Rights leaders. They have both accomplished many things. Jesse Jackson walked with martin luther king in washington with ¨I Have A Dream ¨ speech. Booker T. Washington ended segregation in the south which is a big step to ending racism.

Jesse Jackson was a civil rights leader and also was a Baptist Minister. Jesse Jackson applied to be nominated as a democratic candidate for the president . After Martin Luther Kings speech, Jesse Jackson walked with King in Washington DC.

Jesse Jackson's goal was to eradicate racism. But he did not accomplish his goal, because he did not end hate crimes, hate groups and stereotypes against peoples religion, culture and color.
