Much like technology, globalisation has benefits and disadvantages. Society must simply adapt. 

Pros: 

Awareness of events overseas/educational: Martin L King speech for the rights of African Americans, overseas trauma. 

Export and import / Wealth: Australia export is wool and wheat, import of food products. 

Easier to travel!! : Translation services, currency swappers and so on. 

Cons: 

Exploitation of third world countries and poor/ increase of elitism: Chinese Nike sweat shops. 

Possibility of international stock market crash due to interconnectedness of trade: Local jobs lost to internal drops in market. 

Expansion of terrorism overseas.
