MALLET

Mallet is a hand tool used to strike or hammer; It has the shape of a hammer but it is larger and heavier.

While the hammer fulfills its main role in carpentry, the mallet performs it in the construction industry or in masonry.

While the handle is usually made of wood, the body is usually made of iron, although for other uses they are also made of wood or even plastic with functions similar to hammers.

Its most common use is hitting the material directly but there are varieties such as the Portuguese mallet that is used hitting another object that is located on the material.
