I used to think that Project Zero was simply a list of teaching strategies and routines to use in the classroom and now I think its more about 'tinkering with learning' and thinking about how I plan lessons.

I used to think that ‘thinking routines’ are structures that mainly support learning in the classroom but now I think they are more than that. They are also routines that can guide self reflection and the planning process.

Now I think... visible thinking routines are a valuable tool to open our professional mindsets and to develop a growth mindset in all learners. I am eager to look through the lenses of Cultures of Thinking, Agency by Design, and JusticeXDesign to expand the impact of cultivating thinking (reflecting and extending learning and being more comfortable with exploring what we do not yet know, what we struggle to understand, and the evolution of our thinking and the complexity of understanding). It is critical to keep the focus on the learning and to remember and check for understanding of our WHY
