"Nobody sees a flower, really, it is so small. We haven't time - and to see takes time like to have a friend takes time. If I could paint the flower exactly as I see it no one would see what I see because I would paint it small like the flower is small. So I said to myself - I'll paint what I see - what the flower is to me but I'll paint it big and they will be surprised into taking time to look at it - I will make even busy New Yorkers take time to see what I see of flowers. I made you take time to look at what I saw and when you took time to really notice my flower you hung all your own associations with flowers on my flower and you write about my flower as if I think and see what you think and see of the flower - and I don't."

It took my attention right away! I love the colors and the dreamy escapism world i feel like i am able to enter. Bright colors speak to me and make my heart feel wider where as dark colors tend to close me of from it and i feel a distance and some kind of rejection.

In Hypnosis Excite, Mersy guides us in a hypnosis session with hypnotherapist and Avatar, Lotoya Charles. Since it’s popularization for therapeutic use in the late eighteen hundreds, Hypnosis has been used to reprogram, suppress, and unlearn the memories, patterns, and toxicities that can our permeate and overwhelm our minds. The complex exploration of identity that permeates much of Mersy’s work is distilled in Hypnosis Excite as an shared empathetic breath, and a revelation in shared humanity.

-              Ruimte geven/ maken voor conversatie en de focus ligt op het verzet tegen onderdrukkende structuren, in bijvoorbeeld een samenleving.

-              Om mensen te empoweren/bekrachtigen door dicht bij hen te komen, naar hun hart te luisteren en hun visie en gevoelens aan het licht te brengen. > ik heb nog wel eens de overtuiging dat wat ik geloof wat goed voor mij is goed voor de hele wereld is, ik zou dan ook aandacht willen geven aan dat wat dicht bij mijn hart ligt en mijn visie en overtuigingen zijn aan het licht te brengen en dat is mijn startpunt. 

-              Alicia doet wat ze doet om te groeien en de solidariteit/verbondenheid/saamhorigheid te versterken. > Ik wil ook heel graag groeien als mens, dat is het voornaamste doel. Ik wil dat deze wereld verdraaglijker wordt en liefdevoller en in balans. Ik wil verbondenheid en begrip en bewondering voor alle schoonheid in de wereld. Ik wil de magie delen die ik zie. Ik ben vredelievend en voor rechtvaardigheid.
