Ayote en Mie, this dish means "pumpkin and honey". You prepare this with acorn squash, 3 sticks of cinnamon sticks, golden brown sugar, and water. Arozz con leche means, "rice pudding". This is with rice, water, cinnamon sticks in a large saucepan.

Macheteadas o Hojuelas, this is considered an unhealthy dessert but it's very flavorful. The ingredients for this delicious treat is very simple. You need flour, salt, baking powder, coconut oil, water, canola oi (for frying), and maple syrup (or agave and or honey). This dessert is simply a wheat flour tortilla that's fried but it includes high calories.

The next dish is called Conservas de Coco. It means "coconut candy". Coconut is a very common ingredient in Honduras especially the northern part. To make this yummy treat, you need, shredded coconut, sugar, coconut water, water, and salt. Very simple yet very delicious.

The next appetizing dish is a chocobanana. The name itself describes itself. It's a frozen banana on a stick with chocolate on it. The ingredients are short and simple. You need two ripe bananas, dark chocolate (chopped, or chocolate chips), and vegetable oil. For the toppings you can put granola, shredded coconut, berries or cookies, shortbread, vanilla wafers, Oreos, graham cracker's, peanut butter cups or sprinkles.

The next famous dessert is called Dulce de leche. This means, milky candy. In order to make this, you need, milk, sugar, baking soda, and vanilla. A sweet and simple to make dessert.

The second to last famous dessert in Honduras is pan dulce. Pan dulce means sweet bread. This dessert is typically eaten at breakfast or as a afternoon snack. To make this pastry, you need, milk, butter, dry yeast, sugar, salt, eggs, flour, butter and two egg yolks. A lot of people agree that this is a great dessert to make and eat during Christmas time.

The final famous dessert is Pan de pan. Pan de pan means bread pudding. This is a pudding or flan. This bread is made with butter, egg, milk, sugar, and panela. Many agree this is a very appetizing dessert.

If I had to choose a dish to try, I'd like to try the chocobanana. I love both chocolate and banana and it looks incredibly delicious based on the pictures I saw.
