But one thing that I'm worried about is that I still haven't memorized the ions.

We then had a long open-notes (thankfully) activity/quiz about these lessons and we didn't even get to finish it within the period.

✎ Deary ᝰ Diary,

This week, we just did a library work and a lab activity. Ma'am Carren was on a sick leave on Tuesday so all we did was do a library work about the Rules of Writing Chemical Reactions, Balancing Equations, and Types of Chemical Reactions.

For our lab activity, we balanced some equations and conducted experiments about the 4 types of chemical reactions which are: Combination, Decomposition, and Single/Double Replacement.

To be honest, I don't struggle with these topics but balancing equations sure do take a long time to do. In some cases, it makes me pressured while solving and it kind of gets me confused at some points. But sometimes, I tend to overthink the equation and it makes me laugh to realize that it was that simple. Nevertheless, it's still simple and fun!

Don't overthink it!

｡◕‿◕｡ ꨄ︎

✎ Deary ᝰ Diary,

This week, we further discussed about Chemical Equations, How to Balance Chemical Equations, and the Types of Chemical Reactions.

I know I said these topics were "simple" last week but it really is time consuming and difficult when you still don't really understand or memorize the rules yet (especially for balancing equations). It literally took me like 5 minutes to balance 1 equation because I didn't pay attention to the rules cause I believed that I could do it without any rules.

I also really need to practice how to form a chemical equation because I kind of have difficulties (sometimes!). I don't have any problems with identifying the type of reaction though, it's the easiest out of all the three like for reals.

We then also had a quiz right after the discussion and oh boy, I was panicking and dying inside. I was literally stuck at the first part which is forming the chemical equation and after that I'm also stuck at balancing the equation and yeah, that's that. I didn't get to finish (most didn't so like) so we'll finish it next week on our next meeting! I just really, really, really need to practice.

Practice and do not disregard the rules!

(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) ꨄ︎
