Although in the previous assignment I focused on some negative aspects of this complex, I felt inclined to state some positives about this complex too since I have lived here for a bit longer. I would like to focus on the short commute to the University of Utah as-well as what being student manifests in ones life. Via finding friends by attending the gym, I now have friends I can ski with this winter!

On the University of Utah's website, I found Foothill Place Apartments which aligns in small proximity of the school. Going to school at the "U" grants access to several clubs, organizations, cultural groups, and religious focused studies which not only builds one's network, and fills up one's schedule, but also grants access to organized carpool if without a car; for example I am apart of "InterVarsity" at the U which holds several events, Bible studies, and large groups. Via attending a Tuesday night Bible study, I have found several friends who carpool with each-other to church on Sunday and even to restaurants after Bible study sometimes. Friends I have met at Foothill Place Apartments now carpool with me to church on Sunday; consequently of meeting like-minded people, finding positive things to do and the means of attending becomes significantly easier when networking through the school.

Recently new restaurants have opened close to the neighborhood such as Flower Child which offers a variety of high quality and healthy food. As stated in the previous assignment, this serves as an amazing solution to a major problem. In addition to Flower Child, Vessel Kitchen is decently priced and suprisingly healthy while maintaining flavor. Typically I get braised beef, sweet potatoes, and brussel sprouts which totals to $15. I love that when I do not feel like cooking, ordering food, or going to a restaurant, places like Flower Child and Vessel Kitchen come in clutch!

In regards to the rubric, a huge population of people in the neighborhood and the culture associated is LDS or Mormonism. There is a church directly next to the complex which invites a lot of people on the weekends, especially on Sundays and Holidays. The Mormon faith has profound impact on the neighborhood by keeping crime out and encouraging people to feel safe outside. Although I am not apart of this religious group, I highly respect the positive values it brings to the community. The neighborhood is overall clean, safe, active, and God-fearing!

BUS STOP

Although the image is not of the exact bus stop, it portrays the symbolism needed. I noticed that there is quite a lot of bus stops and train stops within close distance to the neighborhood. The bus stops serves as a conduit to school, downtown, or to a job is someone does not have a car. I am unaware of the prices of the bus but I cannot imagine it is a lot of money to ride on the bus. My experience in this assignment has been joyful since it has reminded me of what to be grateful for. It helped me notice small things that most people look over.
