I love that my tax $ are going to this! Sometimes it's hard to evaluate how fires affect us here in Hannibal, but the smoke map does show. We have experienced smoke from wildfires before. I always appreciate that our indigenous communities are finally being included and consulted, too.

I also appreciate the shift to being more proactive vs. reactive in response to fires.

The use of fuel moisture and fuel structure mapping as a proactive, preventative tool I found very cool.
