On discussions with our children, we have decided to work on immersing and interacting with people from other communities through travel and participating in events and festivals organized by other nationalities. This gives us a chance to interact, learn and as a result, respect people from different backgrounds.

This does not mean that such a person denounces or waives their nationality or other, more local identities, but that such identities are given "second place" to their membership in a global community.
So we gathered as a family discussing the meaning of global citizenship and how to apply it as follows:
We respect our culture and present it to other people who has different cultures.
We present our food to our neighbors to now about it.
We will explore other cultures by cooking their food, watching their moves or documentary programs and visit their country if it’s possible.
Go deeper to understand the difference between different cultures and respect all of them celebrations, religion and customs.
My little son also give me a simple example which is to respect our nanny at home try to participate with her celebration if we can.
I respect his contribution and I wrote it.
My other son told me we have a lot of different statuses representing different cultures from different countries and we get our friends souvenirs from our country representing our culture as well.
