         <description><![CDATA[<div>Due to the good soil the tribe was able to have permanent settlements but they did not. The Nancotchtank tribe mainly ate corn and beans. I know that because in the text it says "Corn and beans made up more than half of the diet". But they also hunted deer and sience deer was scarce they followed it in the fall.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the nacotchtank tribe one way to get food was to go along the rivers and there you would find seasonal fishing camps some on hinting creek (in Alexandria) and one on rock creek where the nacotchtank tribes had not only fish but materials to help with.<br>And in those times the water was full of fish offering food when the crops where not even ready to eat.<br>Another way they go food was that women where the ones that had charge of the houses and fields and they grew corn and beans.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Nancotchtank tribe mainly ate fish and the crops they grew. <br><br>Due to the rich soil, the tribe was able to have permanent settlements becuase their farmland was very heathly. Algonquians owed the strength of their communities largely to the soil and their skill in working it. Men cleared fields for planting by charring tree trunks with fire and hacking at them with stone axes, taking care to leave some trees standing for shade. Also women turned food that they planted into fertilizer by a method of planting so there farms where always good. </div>]]></description>
