When packing your diaper bag, don't forget to include fresh shirts for you and Ryan. Within 20 minutes of us arriving at a brewery, Maddie had a blow out while Rob was holding her....luckily we had a shirt for him!

It can be hard to navigate the early days ... so much of the time is sitting, holding, and caring for your baby. It can feel monotonous or like you're not being productive (at least I found that to be the case). But you *are* being productive! You're healing, you're bonding with your baby, you're caring for her every need. Savor the time. Don't worry about what you're getting done or not getting done. Put down the phone sometimes, turn off the TV. Just be in the moment together. <3

Whatever you do, don't pressure yourself to have your house together, "bounce back", or put baby on a sleeping schedule, etc. These things take time and anyone who wrote a book on it is a damn liar (can you tell I'm mad about it still?? haha).

Slowly, you'll ease back into normal life, on your timeline.

:-D

Your baby is going SLEEP all night! Do not worry!! One day, you'll be giving advice to your new parent friends, remembering the (recent) days when ya'll did nothing but go around the clock with feedings, diapers and cuddles. You'll gaze lovingly at that baby monitor, amazed you have time to enjoy all your favorite things again, in silence lol!
