This Padlet was made just for a very special little boy named Brantley. Brantley is a 6 year old boy with a brain tumor, and the doctors say Brantley may not live to have a Christmas with his family and friends. This is why I need all of GCA's amazing students to help create something, or say something special for Brantley! Be sure to keep your comments school appropriate, as I have moderators who will correct any inappropriate behavior if needed. You may make a video, write a song, draw something, anything you think would make Brantley feel super special! Some of you will be receiving Christmas card slides for you and your class to fill out as well, and those will all be sent to Brantley's house. I need ALL submissions by December 15th. Old right? But anyways I just wanted to tell you that even when times are the hardest...you can still find joy in those moments. There is ALWAYS I light at the end of that dark and lonesome tunnel :) trust me, I know. Not many people know, but I write every once in awhile...mostly inspirational and encouraging stories. I do that mainly just to help me, but now I've realized now that maybe I should use all my past experiences to help others. So I started writing :) like I said not many people know about me writing...but that can be our little secret haha. But anyways I just wanted to tell you and your family that this isn't the end. There is always more at the end of the tunnel. At the end of the journey. I've been thru a lot of those dark and lonely tunnels...and sure, I wanted to just give up and let whatever happen happen...but I didn't. Instead I chose to stand above the situation I was going thru and used it to strengthen myself and to help others. The fight isn't over until it's over. There's still millions of possibility's that could happen, so don't lose hope just yet. Stay strong and kick this tumor right in the behind! I know you don't know me and I'm just a stranger to you but it's gotta be a good feeling that you have people out there that's never even met you thinking and praying for you right? I love you and you're family Brantley. All of you stay strong thru this! Yet, I feel consoled by the fact that his spirit was so beautiful and prized by Allah(God) that Allah(God) allowed me and my brother to be watched over by his Living Angel while on my local campus where my brother and I take college courses. This walking Angel looks EXACTLY like my Grandpa, and it had touched my mother's heart so deeply that her father, my Grandfather's living spirit lives on in a living Angel. Through this living Angel (a patrol officer on our campus) looks after her children, my brother and I, while we are on campus. Just knowing that your spirit can be so pure that it gets transferred like electrical energy to another living thing, is powerful knowledge. Now you must decide to remember your child, mourn him and love him, and if you continue to do that then Allah(God) will allow you to see someone around you exude your son's spirit. So please do not forget that good spirited people will always surround you and eventually, as long as you walk on this Earth, you will see your beloved son through others again.

                   It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing away of Brantley Dobbs, the precious 6 year old boy that I began the "Christmas for Brantley the Brave" project for. Brantley was brave, and bravery conquers fear. Thankfully, Brantley got his last wish...he was given the best Christmas he could ever hope for. People from all over the world have opened up their hearts to this beautiful child, and I know we have all been a blessing to Brantley Dobbs and his family. Before Brantley passed, he said that he knew he would go to heaven, because God told him that he would. I know in my heart that Brantley was right, and that he is in fact off to a better place. I thank you all for your support and prayers, and I pray that you will all continue to leave notes of encouragement to his family, as I still plan to send his family all of the Christmas cards and special notes. Do not lose hope, I know that God always has a plan, even when it seems like we have nothing left, we must always have faith. Thank you all so, so very much. #BrantleytheBraveConquersFear
