At first I thought, "This means nothing to me." Those are the thoughts you can expect from me.  But then, think about it, the knife's blades are in the shape of the Mesopotamia. Is it talking about the fall of the Akkadians, the Gutians taking over, when the Gutians sucked at ruling the Mesopotamia, but maybe it's saying that Mesopotamia was (at the time) in the Dark Ages.
