Curiosities: At first, the world cup was going to take place in Argentina, but the fifa president decided to do it in France. That's because Argentina didn't participate in this world cup.
Another curiosity is that, when Italy and Hungary reached the final, Mussolini send a letter to Italy's team. This one said "win or die". Luckily, they won Hungary 4-2.

The 1954 World Cup took place in Switzerland. THe headquarter were St. Jakob Stadium (Basilea),Cornaredo Stadium (Lugano), Charmilles Stadium (Ginevra), Wankdorf Stadium (Berna), Stade Olympique de la Pontaise (Lausana) and the Hardturm Stadium (Zúrich).  The World Cup started on 16 of june, the final was played on 4 of the next month.The countries that took part were: Federal Germany,Czechoslovakia,Hungary,Switzerland, Austria, South Korea England, Turkey, Belgium, Scotland, Italy, Uruguay,Brazil
 France, Mexico and Yugoslavia. The final was played by Hungary and Federal Germany. The match was defined by penalties, and Germany reached the victory.
