We have tried to provide centralised, and light, guidance but give staff agency to experiment and co-create students at a subject level.

Generative AI usage can and will differ vastly between subject disciplines so centralised policy is impossible.

We encourage staff to agree, with their students, what ethical and appropriate usage is for particular assignments.

We also try to surface some common tools but only is they are scalable and available to all staff and students. AI tools in Blackboard, Copilot (in Edge not full fat)
