These armies were sent because the other countries in Europe formed a collation of 7 countries in order to bring back monarchy the France. They wanted this so that the ideas of a republican government wouldn’t reach and affect their government and revolutions won’t begin. In Paris Napoleon had an argument with his wife, who had an affair while Napoleon was away, but they made up, and he went about with studies. To ensure their safety they put General Bonaparte in command of all troops in the capital and he moved 6,000 men into place around the palace under his future Cavalry.

He was born on August 15th, 1769. He was the second of eight children from Carlo Buonaparte and Romalino Buonaparte. He grew up in a not so wealthy family even though his parents were apart of the minor Corsican nobility. As Napoleon grew up he attended school in mainland France, where he learned the French language, and went on to graduate from a French military academy in 1785.

The Coup brought him to power as First Consul of France. This overthrew the system of government under the Directory in France and substituted the Consulate, making way for Napoleon’s rule. Most historians thought that this ended the French Revolution.

Napoleon had been fighting and winning war after war and went to Russia to conquer the country. He went to Moscow and ended up losing a lot of supplies. He had to stay in Moscow to restock. He stayed there till October then started to march back to France. He lost 590,000 men and returned to France with 10,000 men. Russia, Britain and the other countries found a way to beat Napoleon so at the 6th coalition defeated Napoleon and locked him away. Napoleon, who now was delusional, broke out and went to war to reclaim all he lost. He was defeated once again and this time was sent to an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. He went insane but never managed to escape. He died at 51 because of stomach cancer on St. Helena.

Napoleon was married to Josephine de Beauharnais in 1796.  
Napoleon annulled his marriage in 1809, due to not having any of his own kids with Empress Josephine. He found a new wife in 1810, Marie Louise who was the daughter of the emperor of Austria. They had a son the next year named, Napoleon François Joseph Charles Bonaparte. His son was known as Napoleon ll and was king of Rome. He was then welcomed back to Paris on March 20th which resulted in Louis XVIII, the new king, to leave. This series of events led up to Napoleon’s Hundred Days campaign. After returning back to France, the allies that considered the French emperor as an enemy began to prepare for war. These allies included the Austrians, British, Prussians, and the Russians. However, before the allied forces could come together and attack him as one, Napoleon anticipated the threat and raised an army to strike those allies. His forces attacked at Belgium, which was where the Prussian and British troops were waiting. On June 18th at the Battle of Waterloo, the British successfully beat the French by getting help from the Prussians. Therefore, Napoleon was once again forced to resign.
