These people have been a defining factor not only in my social life, but also my spiritual life. I have been a part of Dulaang Sibol for four years and I couldn't thank this family enough for being a solid foundation in my life. A lot of the values I have come to uphold as a part of my humanity are the values and teachings that sibol has inculcated into my being. EVen before I was an official member, my own father was an alumnus of Sibol, so wala talaga akong takas HAHAHA, but I'm thankful. Im never afraid to be who I really am in front of people. i genuinely believe that realest people develop the realest relationships because nothing is fabricated. It gets tiring putting up all these different masks in front of people. I grew up in a very small community, Ateneoville, thus we all know each other by heart. I really love my community and I couldn't ask for anything better. Ive had some of my fondest childhood memories here. Playing in he streets late at night, going to the houses of my friends and just going around the village as a group. Amidst this new normal, we were coerced into different and new routines because of circumstance and online class is one of those routines. It was a pretty unwelcome concept to me in the beginning and even now it is something I do not fully accept yet. I believe that nothing beats being physically present for the people we care about, but what can we do? Hindi nakikita ang kalaban. I often find myself disappointed in me. I feel like I'm never enough and I have to do so many things just to gain the approval of the people around me. But I failed to realize that theres beauty in being incomplete, because if we already had everything in life, there would be nothing left for us to discover about ourselves and the people around us. Life is progressive and in constant motion, and we NEVER stop learning. Sir Pagsi himself said "At 92 I'm still teachable. Im still learning new things everyday."
