I think the ISTE National Educational Technology Standards are very beneficial for both teachers and students. For teachers, they provide guidance on using technology effectively and encourage innovative, student-centered teaching. For students, they promote digital literacy, collaboration, creativity, and responsible tech use. The key is having proper support and resources—without them, implementing the standards can be challenging. Overall, they help prepare everyone for a tech-driven learning environment.

3. From the list of “Essential Computer Skills for Teachers” (page 36),which five skills do you need to work on most and why?1.Be able to follow written and oral instructions to complete computer tasks- sometimes this is so difficult to do and then then having to ask what you’ve miss sometimes makes you feel away.

2.Be willing to try to figure out problems that arise when using technology because sometimes small thing or terminologies that we may not know will not allow us to figure out the problems especially when it comes to coding.

3.Know how to check for unplugged or loose cables- sometimes the cables are not place properly and may sometimes hinder us and we might think that probably they are malfunctioning or its not good at all.

4.Realize that sometimes computers do unexpected things and a reboot often fixes the problem- this happens sometimes I would often when I least expect it and the work is there half way I need to learn to save my work and if the device reboots then I can have some tranquility.

5. Report a computer/technology problem to the person or persons who have the capability to fix it-this would be my last option to do when I can I will definitely get assistance from those who studied technology and those who may know more about computer in order to get my task complete.

Question Number 2:

The steps I would take to ensure that I have met the ISTE NETS or my district or state standards for teachers or students would be by firstly developing a tech rich learning environment. Next is to set clear academic goals, then to integrating digital tools and resources that support these goals. There should be a measure to have teachers live and personalized feedback for students. There should also equitable access and the fostering of digital citizenship among students. Accountability is key. Therefore timely reflections are important to create effective technological growth.
