At the beginning, in 1891 it was a horsecar tram. Later, in 1910, Zagreb got its first electric tram. Today, Zagreb Tram has 19 lines, 15 daytime and 4 nighttime lines, and 256 stations. Daily number of commuters is 558,900 but its highest number of commuters is 2.8 million. Zagreb public transport is run by Zagrebački električni tramvaj (ZET).
